Thursday 13- Summer Songs

Okay, I know it's not "officially" summer, but in Texas we really only get about a week or two of spring, so it's been "summer" for a while here.

In honor of the summer temperatures, I thought for my Thursday 13 I would list 13 of my favorite "summer songs" (in no particular order).

1. Summer Nights by Rascal Flatts

2. The Cheap Seats by Alabama

3. Summertime by Kenny Chesney

4. The Boys of Summer by Don Henley

5. Summertime Blues (remake) by Alan Jackson

6. Surfin' USA by The Beach Boys

7. Summer Girl by Jessica Andrews

8. Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffett

9. It's Five O'clock Somewhere by Alan Jackson

10. Kokomo by The Beach Boys

11. Strawberry Wine by Deana Carter

12. Soak Up the Sun by Sheryl Crow

13. Firecracker by Josh Turner

Hope you have a great day!

  1. How could you not include this song!?!?!

  2. As soon as I saw your title I immediately thought "Summer Girl"!! That song takes me back to a trip to Vegas with my BFF one summer right when that song came out. We played it all the time!!

  3. I hear ya on the heat!
    You've posted a couple of my fav's!

    Have a great day!

  5. Great choices!! Summer songs are the best! :)

  6. A WONderful selection! Thanks! May I humbly add:

  7. Summer girls was my friends and my favorite song my senior year of college...takes me back!

  8. Great list. I almost posted music today as well, but not such a cheery selection...

Survive the heat! I'm a little jealous as we're still looking for three days of sunshine in a row up here in the Pacific Northwest...

  9. What a great list! Love your blog, the Audrey Hepburn pictures, and that wonderful verse from Jeremiah. Hope you'll visit mine:

  10. Love the summer song list! I need to make one... Boys of Summer would definitely be on it!

  11. Numbers one, four, and eleven-YEEEESSSSS! Boys of Summer by Don Henley or the Ataris is one of my favorite songs ever!

  12. Yep, it's pretty much the same temps here! Is it sad that I don't know A LOT of these songs?? Lol. :)
