What I'm Loving Wednesday

Well, 2022 hasn't been that great so far, but I want to try and focus on positive things, so I decided to try and get back into my habit of blogging more than once a year. I'm falling back on my old favorite, What I'm Loving Wednesday.

I'm loving...

That I've stayed on track with my workouts so far this year. Yes, I know, we are only three weeks in, but still, it's a start. I know I've mentioned it on here before, but I LOVE the app FitOn. It's free, and you get so many workout videos by different trainers (that way you don't get bored doing the same workouts over and over). You can select what type of videos you want: the area you want to target (abs, legs, arms) how long you want the video to be, the trainer you want, etc. I HIGHLY recommend them. All of the trainers are great, but my favorite is Kenta. He's amazing and he's so encouraging.

I'm loving...

This Etsy shop: Crafty Crutch Stuff. I discovered them last year when I was on Etsy searching for Atlanta Braves stuff. I found a Braves gnome they had made and decided I needed it. I loved the quality so much I reached out to the owners to special order a Rangers gnome (which they made and sent to me in less than two weeks). The owners are super nice. I recently purchased some of their kitchen towels and another gnome. In one of my purchases, they threw in a free bar of their homemade soap, which smelled AMAZING. I highly recommend this shop. If you know me, you know I'm all about supporting small businesses. If you want a gnome with a specific sports team or design, you can reach out and ask for it. If you order anything from them, let them know that Rachel sent you! :)

I'm loving...

Mr. Ballen's YouTube Channel. My neighbor introduced me to Mr. Ballen last year and I binged watched all of his videos in like a week. If you are a fan of the strange, dark, and mysterious delivered in storytelling format, Mr. Ballen is for you! Here is a sample of his videos. And yes, he really is a former Navy Seal (the second video will explain that).

I dressed up as Mr. Ballen for Halloween at work last year. Lol.

I'm loving...

The Jurassic World Exhibit-I went last week and had a lot of fun. The last day for the Dallas exhibit was this past Monday, but if you ever see it near you, I recommend going. It is something that is enjoyable for people of all ages.

I'm loving...

That I'm finally working on all the scrapbooks that I've been talking about completing for the last 100 years (okay, maybe not that long). I've had stuff in a box for twenty years from middle school and high school and am excited to get it cleared out and in an album. 2022 is the year of organization for me!

What I'm Loving!

I'm loving...
That I finally got to check out a few RoughRiders games (that's the Rangers AA team in Frisco). I love minor league baseball (okay, I love any kind of baseball), but minor league games are super fun to attend. I went to a game last Thursday night and on Sunday afternoon. Sunday was Bark at the Park Day and there were so many cute dogs there. I wish I had gotten a picture of some of them.

My friend Daniel went with me on Thursday. I forgot to tell him that I'm always taking pictures. :)
My baseball homegirl Beks works part time at the Roughriders games. I had to stop by for a hug. Yes, I hug. A lot. If you have never met me in person, this is your warning. :)
My friend Art also works for the Roughriders and I got to see him on Thursday too!
My view Thursday night and Sunday afternoon (yeah for free tickets!)

Sunday was my friend Eric's first time to see a Roughriders game.
I'm loving...
The crazy weather in Texas. We had a week full of sunshine and temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Then Saturday a cold front hit and it was overcast and freezing (in the 50s- yes that is freezing to us). Nevertheless, my friends and I enjoyed our tailgate before the Rangers game. Even cold temperatures couldn't stop us from being out there.

My friend Andrew works with me and saw on Facebook that I was tailgating, so he came by to say hi
It was cold, but at least we looked cute in our Rangers beanies
Former Rangers great Rafael Palmeiro was signing autographs before the game
I'm loving...
Cute gifts from my friends. My friend Lisa made us all fans to use at baseball games (obviously we didn't need them on Saturday though). She put a picture of Steve Avery on my fan. As you all know, he is the "Avery" behind my "Averyfan" handle. So, it's basically an Avery fan for Averyfan. :)

I'm loving...
Going to Rangers games. I know, this shocks you, especially after the first part of my post. Lol. I went to two RoughRiders games and three Rangers games over a five day period. I promise I don't have a baseball problem. :)

For those of you who make fun of me for posting on social media when I'm at the games- it pays off. My friend saw that I checked in on Friday at the Ballpark and texted me saying he wasn't at the game, so I could sit in his season ticket holder seats. He texted his usher to let him know I was coming so I had no problems sitting there. :)
With one out in the 9th, it started pouring. Thankfully my friend Monica and I were prepared with ponchos. The rain only lasted about 10 minutes so we were able to see the fireworks show after the game. :)

Watching Saturday's game with some of my Twitter family- I love these peeps!! I never would have thought that I would get such wonderful friendships from Twitter. These people are truly the best!
I actually took Monday off work to get some rest and take care of a few errands. My friend Harry texted with a last minute Rangers ticket for that night, so of course, I had to go.
I'm loving...
That I finally saw my high school friend Matt Belisle pitch in a big league game. He's a relief pitcher and it seems I was never at a game where he pitched. Monday night he came in to pitch for the Twins. As much as I want my friend to succeed in his career, I wish he hadn't pitched so well against my boys. :)

Matt and I were on newspaper staff together my senior year. Super sweet guy, just wish he played for the Rangers so I wouldn't feel guilty cheering for him. :)
I'm loving...
When I get to see friends I haven't seen in FOREVER. After 15 months trying to plan lunch/dinner, my friend Landon and I finally had brunch on Sunday. It's ridiculous how busy we both are, we laugh about it. And on Saturday I got to see my friend Cheryl. I've known her since I was 14, but we hadn't seen each other in about 12 years. She and her fiance were in town for a Rangers game so we met up before the game.

I joked with Landon that I thought he was a figment of my imagination since I hadn't seen him in so long.
Oh, the stories I could tell about the trouble we caused when we were younger- but I won't. :)
I'm loving...
That I'm on week two of my 30 Day Shred workout. We will see if I can keep it up. This is how I feel about working out. Lol.

What are YOU loving today??

XOXO!

It's OK...

It's OK...

...that for the first time since 2007, I missed Rangers Fan Fest. It was last weekend and I just wasn't able to make it to Arlington for it. I had other things I had to do and didn't have time. :( I hope they will forgive me!
A picture of me and outfielder Craig Gentry from the 2011 Rangers FanFest. He knew that I was kind of a big deal and wanted a picture with me. I hate disappointing my fans. :)
...that I have an app with a countdown to Opening Day. :)
I can't wait!!
...that this is how I've been feeling about exercising the past month. I really need to get off my lazy butt bohiney and start working out again.
I **heart** bacon.
...that since I now have an iPhone 5 (OH yeah, I got an iPhone 5, not sure if I mentioned that), I put Siri to good use and asked this question:
Seems that Siri doesn't know EVERYTHING. Oh well. For the record, I don't think all men are jerks. I was just upset with someone that day, I'm over it now, it's all good. He's off my wrath of Rachel list. :)
...that I was in a meeting and couldn't take this call:
Yeah, I wish he was calling me! :)
...that I'm back to taking pictures of myself and posting them on Instagram. If you are on Instagram, my handle is averyfan. :)
This was the morning of the big snow light dusting of snow.
I posted this saying that I cut my hair. While I was packing, I found a wig from a Halloween costume that I had a few years ago. Ah, fun stuff.
...that I have a heart of stone and refused to share my food with my roommate Sadie.
I know, she's adorable. But puppy dog eyes aren't gonna work on me. I share my food with no one. :)
...that this made me laugh really hard.
If you only knew... ;)
...that I pinned about 1,874 pins of Luke Bryan yesterday on Pinterest. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration. But I did pin a lot. I've fallen off the wagon and am pinning again. I'm out of control! :) Shameless plug, follow me on Pinterest here. :)

We are almost to the weekend, hang in there my friends!

XOXO!

It's OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

...to think that the movie 21 Jump Street wasn't as bad as you thought it would be. Although it had some "crude humor", which is something I'm not a fan of (it's just not my thing). SEMI SPOILER ALERT, KEEP READING AT YOUR OWN RISK: Fans of the TV show might recognize a few faces, that's all I'm gonna say for now. BUT, I think I prefer the original TV show to the movie. Sorry Channing!
...to think that all of your sweet followers should check out these two blogs (they are good friends of mine who are just starting out in the blog world!) Please click on the buttons below and go say howdy! :)

...to keep checking your bank account in hopes that your tax return has already been deposited (even though you just filed on Sunday).

...that your Hotties board on Pinterest is now at 96 pins.

...to think that all boxes of chocolate should come with a cheat sheet so you know what the filling is.
Gift from one of my co-workers (love the baseball theme).
...to think that coconut should NEVER be a filling in a box of chocolates (blek).

...to convince yourself as long as you are drinking water, it's okay to have three pieces of chocolate from the box pictured above.

...to be proud of yourself for working out at least four times a week for the past three and a half weeks (Turbo Jam workout rocks!)

...to wish you could just airbrush your body to look the way you wanted it to. At the rate I'm going, I will never been seen in a bathing suit ever again. :/
If only I still looked THIS good in a two piece! ;)

What's OK with you today?? XOXO!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

 I'm loving...

That the Dallas Mavericks beat the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. Now, I'm not as in love with basketball like I am baseball (I do watch it though). And I just love that all the "experts" were proven wrong since basically everyone picked the Heat to win (yeah, I'm looking at you ESPN!)

I'm loving...

That I will be seeing my family this weekend. A certain nephew of mine is having a birthday tomorrow so we will be celebrating that...

Me and my nephew back in the day (he's only 3 years younger than me) I apologize for my hideous sweater in this picture.

Me and my nephew at a Texas A&M baseball game in April

...And I will be there to celebrate Father's Day with my dad...

Me and my sister Mary with our dad last year on Father's Day

AND I get to see these cutie pies!

C and E playing on the Slip 'N Slide

I'm loving...

That I received the books I ordered from Barnes and Noble (I got a gift card for my birthday). Lots of reading ahead for me!! I love Roxanne St. Claire and Allison Brennan! I also love that Roxanne St. Claire is following me on Twitter- she is so wonderful to her fans!

I'm loving...

My friend James David Carter's cover of "Don't Close Your Eyes". Check out his other videos here. I also love that he's a Braves fan. I hope he remembers to tell me if Steve Avery is ever back for an alumni game! :)

I'm loving...

That I got the binder for my World Series scrapbook. It's perfect!! And I had a 40% off coupon!! :)

I'm loving...

That I have confidence to sport my junior high gym socks when I work out (yes, I know, it's pathetic that I still have them and that I can still wear them- get over it). :) I didn't have clean socks last night when I went to work out, so, I found these and put them on. High socks rock!

Hope everyone is having a great day and great week! It's been an exhausting one for me. I was in bed a little before 9 last night, but man, the sleep was nice!!

XOXO!!
