Happy Texas Independence Day!

In honor of Texas Independence Day today, I thought I would post some pins from my Texas board on Pinterest!
Let's face it, this is what people think of when they hear Texas.
For the record, this is NOT our state song! ;)
Remember the Alamo!
This just makes me laugh (because it's true...) ;)
The greatest fast food burger in the state!
And now you know how to pronounce it... ;)
Our beautiful bluebonnets...
Yes, we do have beaches! :)
Dallas: Home sweet home! :)
State capitol in Austin (my best friend used to be a tour guide there!) :)
Yes, we do have cowboys here!! And I don't just mean the football team! ;)
Did you really think I wouldn't post something about the Rangers??
Greatest. Ice Cream. Ever.
Yup, Chuck Norris lives here now. He's an honorary Texas Ranger (as in the law enforcement, not the baseball team). Although I'm waiting for him to throw the first pitch out at a Rangers game, that would be epic!!
For some reason this didn't come through when I first posted this. Of course I can't leave off Dr Pepper!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm heading out of town to see my folks after work. In honor of Jon Bon Jovi's 50th birthday today, I leave you with some videos!

XOXO!!

  3. I'm just surprised, if not a tad bit disappointed, you did not mention Dr. Pepper on your list of great things from Texas!

  4. Yes, where is the Dr. Pepper? I thought for sure that would be included with Whataburger. *Still don't get it. Once a Yankee, I guess. ;)-

  9. Well I knew Texas was awesome from the start of Walker Texas Ranger but now seeing that Dr. Pepper comes from Texas too? Best state ever.
