Thursday 13- iPod Shuffle

Today for my Thursday 13 I thought I would do another random shuffle of my iPod (okay, it's actually the music app on my iPhone, but whatever!) :) Yes, I realize that I have random music on my playlist! :)

(Rangers fans might recognize this as one of Josh Hamilton's walk up songs!) :)

(I liked this video of a little kid lip syncing to this song!) :)

30 DBC Day 25 and It's OK Thursday!

So, notice something different today? Yeah, I redesigned my blog (just a little). Hope it turned out okay! :)

Day 25: Put your iPod on shuffle and list the first 10 songs (to hear the song, click on the name).

1. Fishin in the Dark: Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
2. Who Are You When I'm Not Looking: Blake Shelton
3. Pour Some Sugar on Me: Def Leppard (most of you are shocked I have Def Leppard on my iPod, aren't ya!) ;)
4. You Are Loved (Don't Give Up): Josh Groban
5. God of Wonders: Third Day
6. I Want It That WayThe Backstreet Boys (and I'm not afraid to admit it!) :)
7. What If His People Prayed: Casting Crowns
8. Bubbly: Colbie Caillat
9. She'd Be California: Rascal Flatts
10. I Can't Help Falling in Love With You: Elvis Presley

I'm linking up again with Neely and Amber for "It's Ok Thursday".

It's Ok...

...to spend your lunch break redesigning your blog.
...that the Rangers have lost a few games. There is still a whole month left to play.
...to eat peanut butter out of the jar at your desk.
...to order off the kid's menu when you go out to eat.
...to leave your clean laundry spread out on the couch for a week because you are too lazy haven't had time to hang it up.
...to write reminders on your bathroom mirror because you will forget otherwise.
...to wish that the vehicle in the HOV lane with only one person in it would get pulled over by the cops.
...to yell at that same car in front of you who is going 30 MPH in the HOV lane.
...to wear earphones at work when you are not really listening to anything, just so you won't be bothered.
...to sit and cry while watching videos on WelcomeHomeBlog.com.
...to be counting down the hours until your four day weekend.

So, what's OK with you today? Link up with Neely and Amber!

We are almost to the weekend my sweet friends!! Hang in there! XOXO!

Thursday 13- More iPod Confessions

If you check out my posts here and here, you will see previous iPod confessions (or "songs my friends won't believe I have on my iPod"). I thought it was about time to list some more for my Thursday 13. For those new to my blog, I would say the majority of my songs are country (what can I say, I'm a country girl, well, at least when it comes to music). :) If you want to hear the song, click on the name.

1. Jeremy by Pearl Jam
My friend Zach loved (and I mean loved) Pearl Jam, so when we were in high school, I listened to a lot  of them whenever we hung out. I didn't realize until recently this song was based on a real guy named Jeremy. Go here for that story. It's a dark song, so please click on the video with caution. It's not "kid approved".

2. Why Can't I by Liz Phair
I don't know why I like this song, but I do.

3. Ain't No Rest For the Wicked by Cage the Elephant
I heard this song when I was out somewhere and I used my Shazam app to tag it so I could look it up later. It's weird, but I like it, it has an interesting beat.

4. Dancing Queen by ABBA
How can you not dance around to this song?

5. Love Shack by The B52s
You know you want to sing along!

6. Fight For Your Right by The Beastie Boys
So, I was about 8 when this song came out. There was a college student who would watch the kids during choir practice after Sunday night church. She used to play Beastie Boys music for us . Yeah, not really "church music" is it? :)

7. Buddy Holly by Weezer
This song takes me back to high school. I was on the newspaper staff and there was a guy who was a huge Weezer fan and was always playing their CD in the newspaper office. This was one of my favorites!

8. Do That To Me One More Time by Captain and Tennille
What? I can't like a little Captain and Tennille?

9. I Know by Drake Bell
I heard this song for the first time last week. I had never heard of this kid before (okay, he's like 24, but sadly that is a kid to me). I can't explain it, but I like his voice. After a search on Google it seems he was on a Nickelodeon show like 5 years ago (I had never heard of it- but Nick sure has changed since I watched it!) I'm almost embarrassed to have it listed, I'm way too old to be listening to "teen pop" music, but he has a good voice! I won't make any comments on how his hair in this video drives me bonkers. PUSH IT OUT OF YOUR FACE! Oh, sorry!

10. Bubbly by Colbie Caillat
This is a song that gets stuck in my head a lot! :)

11. Material Girl by Madonna
How could I be a child of the 80s and not have Madonna on my iPod?

12. Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond
My BFF Brandy and I were singing along to this song one time at a Rangers game and the guy in front of us said we were too young to know this song. How can you NOT know this song??

13. According to You by Orianthi
If I were to dance around singing into a hairbrush, it would be to this song. Again, I said IF. :)
