I haven't done a Tuesday Tunes in a while so I thought I would use this post to remember country artist Mindy McCready who died on Sunday. I loved her music when I was in high school and college. Rest in peace Mindy.

Day 19: Food
This is what I had for lunch today (leftovers from dinner last night). Yummy food!
I haven't done a Tuesday Tunes in a while, so in honor of Luke Bryan winning nine awards at the AMAs last night (American Country Awards), I thought I would post some of my favorite Luke Bryan songs. :)
As part of the off season healing process (my baseball heart weeps), I thought for my Tuesday Tunes I would share the walk-up songs for some of the Texas Rangers (some of the guys have more than one song). If the video isn't embedded, to hear the song, you can click on the name of it.
**Randomness With Rachel is not responsible for the lyrics in the following songs, whether they be in English or Spanish. Viewer/listener discretion advised on songs you are not familiar with. Thank you.**
I got the idea for my Tuesday Tunes theme from my friend Mel when she sent me this picture today.
I know, I'm in my 30s too, but there are times I forget that! ;)
I know I've confessed this on my blog before, but Newsies was one of my FAVORITE movies when I was younger. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the movie. **Rachel slowly lies down on the floor and starts weeping because she feels old** I had it on video tape (oh yes, pre-DVD days) and I probably watched it a few times a month (a lot of that might have had something to do with the fact that Christian Bale was in it and had very good hair back then.)
Be still my 14 year old heart. This was before Christian Bale went crazy.
Anyways, I bought the DVD a while back after not seeing the movie in at least 15 years. Is it sad to confess I remembered pretty much all of the songs? Such greatness. In fact, the movie Newsies is what brought me and my friend Kat together as "soul sistas". Not sure how Christian Bale's name came up in a conversation, but she mentioned Newsies and I admitted that I loved that movie (so did she). We became instant soul sistas! So Kat, this post is for you today! I thought I would share some of the greatness that is the music from Newsies! :)
Soul sistas. Okay, the fact she is a fellow Rangers fan is ANOTHER reason we are good friends! :)
I wasn't sure what to blog about today. I thought about going off on the CVS Pharmacy located by my apartment and how I feel everyone who works there is an incompetent idiot, but I figured y'all have your own problems, you don't want to read about mine. Cliff Notes version for those interested: I had to make three trips to CVS last night in a span of two hours because of their slowness and mix-ups. If you follow me on Twitter, you only saw a portion of my frustration last night. Despite me thinking all was okay after my second trip, it got worse and I had to make a third one. I just decided not to tweet about it. Okay, enough with that! **deep breath**
Anyways, in order to calm me down today and put my awful Monday behind me, I've been watching videos of listening to Billy Currington. I absolutely love his voice (okay, I can't lie, he's nice to look at too). I'm feeling so much better. It's either Billy Currington's voice or the fact that I had a 10 minute massage a little while ago. I know I complain about my job at times, but we have some nice perks here in my office. Twice a week we have a massage therapist that comes in and gives 10 minute massages to employees (from 1-5pm). It's on a first come, first serve basis. I woke up with my neck killing me. After the massage, it feels SO MUCH better.
Anyways, I thought I would post some Billy Currington videos for your viewing listening pleasure! For those non country fans- at least try listening to one (you know who you are!) :) If nothing else, mute it and watch it! ;)
Is it sad the first thing I noticed in this video is that gas prices were $1.61? ;)
Scenes in this video might not be appropriate for any niece of mine who is 13 years old. ;) I refuse to have your dad mad at me for letting you watch it. Love you for reading my blog though!! :)
One of my favorite songs!
Not gonna lie- I kinda wanna be the girl in this video and have Billy chasing after me. ;)
The title of this song is something I think ALL the time!
Gotta love country boys! :)
Anyways, here's hoping that tonight is better. I'm going to TRY to get back on track working out (I may or may not have slacked off the past few weeks). :/
I found out today that Robert Sherman, songwriter for a lot of classic Disney movies, passed away yesterday. I felt it was appropriate to dedicate my Tuesday Tunes post to him. Here are some of my favorite songs that he wrote (or co-wrote).
Of COURSE this would be listed first! :) Mary Poppins in my favorite movie!
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang title song.
Let's Get Together from The Parent Trap
Ugly Bug Ball from Summer Magic (another Hayley Mills' movie). For the record, this is NOT Jerry Mathers, it's his brother Jimmy.
I'm Just A Little Black Rain Cloud from Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree
I know, I know. I know way to much about classic Disney movies (don't judge). :)
This afternoon I've been goofing off on Pinterest hard at work on job related stuff, and have been jamming to my country music YouTube playlist. I thought I would post some of those videos today for a Tuesday Tunes post. :)
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, my friend Monica and I will be going to see The Oak Ridge Boys in concert on Thursday night. I've been jamming out to some Oak Ridge Boys songs all afternoon, so I decided to use them for my Tuesday Tunes!
I've posted this picture before, but, since I named my cat Elvira after the Oak Ridge Boys song, I felt it was appropriate to post again today!
Me and Elvira (circa 1982ish).
Photo Challenge Day 24: Guilty Pleasure- I honestly can't think of anything I feel guilty about (that either makes me sound heartless or like a goody-goody.) Sadly, it's probably the latter. **sigh** Even as an adult I tend to "do the right thing" (okay, I guess that's not a BAD trait to have. And I know my mother will be happy to read that). I'll admit I sometimes wonder what life would be like if I was not "goody-goody Rachel". Um... maybe that's a guilty pleasure, wondering what my alter-ego would be like. Can you imagine a Rachel who didn't like sports, didn't get along with her family, wasn't polite to strangers and never did the right thing? Kinda scary...hehehe... For the record I should say I don't think you are a bad person if you don't like sports, I was just trying to think of someone totally opposite of me! :)
So today I've been listening to my 80s/90s country music playlist on YouTube. I miss the old school country sometime! All you country music haters stop wrinkling your noses at me. You know who you are (but I still love you)! ;) I thought I would share some of these videos with you for my Tuesday Tunes!
**Randomness With Rachel is not responsible for bad hairstyles, clothing or acting in any of these videos. Watch at your own risk. Thank you!**
Funny story: One time when I was younger, a friend and I were listening to this song and she looked at me (with all seriousness) and said, "wait, there's no ocean in Arizona". I still tease her about that.
It was announced this past week that Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw will be touring together next year. They make a stop in North Texas to play atJonestown on Saturday, June 9. Tickets go on sale next month and "the BFF" and I will be getting tickets. We haven't seen either one of them in concert before so we are pretty excited about it (I think we are more excited about seeing Kenny though)! I thought for my Tuesday Tunes I would post some of my favorite songs of theirs. :)
This one is the BFF's ringtone on my phone! ;)
If you are a football fan, this one is good. Even if you don't like country music!
It's been a while since I've done Tuesday Tunes. With Halloween less than a week away, I decided to make it a Halloween themed list today!
Thriller (I think I was about 4 when this video came out and it used to freak me out!) If you just want to hear where he starts to sing the song, go to 4:41 of the video, but honestly, you don't want to miss the bad acting and cheesy make-up at the beginning! :) For those who care, the Thriller "dance" starts at 8:24.
Monster Mash (it's okay, you can admit that you like this song, I won't tell anyone!)
Disney's Halloween Treat (anyone else remember this from the early 80s? Disney aired it every year at Halloween.)
Ghostbusters Theme
Somebody's Watching Me (it's such a cheesy video, and song for that matter, but Psych did a parody of it once, and it made me laugh!)
Gotta give credit to Brendan at the Ben and Skin Show for giving me my idea for today's Tuesday Tunes (side note: follow Brendan on Twitter here. He's awesome!) And I'm one of his favorite followers, go on, ask him, he'll tell you! Yesterday he played a "drop" that had Beck's song "Loser" in it. It made me think of high school. So for my post today, I thought I would list some songs that "take me back" to high school every time I hear them. For the record, I wasn't necessary a fan of all these bands, I just know these songs (for instance, I couldn't name another House of Pain song if my life depended on it). :) But I was a fan of Boyz II Men and Hootie and the Blowfish! :)
