Mobile Monday

After over six months of no Blue Bell, my favorite ice cream finally made its way back to stores in Dallas last week. My sweet friend Angie picked this up for me last Monday and dropped it off at my apartment that night. All is right in my world again. :)
NOTE: I know some people have issues with the Blue Bell company. I respect your opinions, but please keep hateful comments off my page. The owners of Blue Bell are friends of my family and are good people. Don't always trust everything the media tells you. There are two sides to every story. That being said, I will speak no more of this subject and will enjoy some wonderful Dutch Chocolate ice cream. :)
Last Tuesday was Election Day and everyone I knew was posting a selfie on social media wearing their "I voted" sticker. I was starting to think your vote wouldn't count unless you told everyone about it. Just to be sure my vote counted, I posted my "post election" selfie as well. :)
Shon Gables used to work for a local news station and we have been social media friends for a few years. She sent out a tweet last week that she was collecting shoes to be donated to people in 3rd world countries. I was able to donate about 8 pairs of shoes that I never wear. It was for a good cause, and it cleaned out my closet some!
Some friends and I went to Music Hall in Fair Park on Saturday to see The Sound of Music. I didn't know how many differences there were between the play and the movie. The cast did a wonderful job, but I like the movie song order and story line better. :)
Kroger had a discount table of all their Halloween stuff (I guess they were lumping all fall stuff into that category as well). This was included. I now have table cloths and napkins for Thanksgiving lunch. The table cloths ended up only being $1.50 and the napkins were 75 cents. Score!
My friend Monica and I went to the FC Dallas playoff game last night. FC Dallas is our local Major League Soccer team. I loved the atmosphere. Soccer fans are passionate. I love soccer, I'm not sure why I don't go to more games. FC Dallas won in a penalty kick shootout (which was an exciting finish to a great game). I'm trying to embed the video below of the shootout portion of the game.

This car was in front of me going to work today. Made me think of the roadrunner. Meep Meep!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

XOXO!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

It's time once again for What I'm Loving Wednesday! Thank you to everyone who links up every week (or almost every week). We appreciate your support!! :) Please tell your friends to link up next week! We love to read new blogs!

I'm loving...
That two of my nieces and I are FINALLY having our Girls Weekend that we've been talking about for like six years. I can't wait to spend time with them. We aren't that far apart in age, so we are all close. They are definitely more like sisters than nieces. :)

I'm loving...
That my Instagram photo with Sean Lee at the RoughRiders game made the minor league baseball app! :) (Thank you to my friend Beks for letting me know). :)

I'm loving...
The text conversations I had with some of my nieces and one of my nephews yesterday. They make me smile. I love my family. :)

I'm loving...
That I was able to find a "non Harry Potter" book by J.K. Rowling (she wrote it under the pseudonym of Robert Galbraith) at the library yesterday. I'm interested to see how it goes, I do like crime novels. I might even do a review of it, eventually. Lol.

I'm loving...
That Blue Bell ice cream is making its way back onto the shelves of local grocery stores. :) The crisis is over!! :)

I'm loving...
That I got to have dinner with some of my cousins last night. They only live about an hour from me, but we never really get together. We promised that we will get together more often! I'm trying to convince them to go to a baseball game with me this summer. :)

My cousin in the top right corner is going to be taller than me soon. He's grown so much since I last saw him!
What are YOU loving today?

XOXO!

Final Blog Challenge Post AND What I'm Loving Wednesday....

Blog Challenge Day 30: What is your favorite comfort food?
I would have to say Blue Bell ice cream. If I'm having a bad day, or just feeling "down", I usually grab a pint of Blue Bell to make my day better. And yes, it has to be Blue Bell. :)

Just a small portion of the flavors offered by Blue Bell
Blog Challenge Day 31: What is the history behind your blog?
I honestly started a blog because a friend of mine at work had one and said she really enjoyed it. I originally thought that only my family and maybe some of my friends who would ever read it. Then I discovered blog hops, and my blog was introduced to many others. I've made some good friends through my blog (yes, they are now "real-life" friends). And after I got on Twitter, I found that I could share my blog there too. I feel so honored when someone tells me that they love reading my blog. It's really nothing special, as you can tell, it's usually some random stuff, but I'm very touched that you all read it. XOXO!! :)

I'm loving...

Spending time with my family. I went "home" last weekend and got to see my folks, my sisters, and some of my nieces and nephews. As always, a lot of pictures were taken (which of course, I'm going to share). :)

I missed my niece K and my nephew C's birthday parties the past few months, so I had to take them their presents. My nephew E's birthday is next month, so I went ahead and gave him his gift early (I felt bad giving the other two gifts in front of him). I just realized K ran off with her gifts before I got a picture with her.

C is my little Duck Dynasty fan. I got him a Duck Dynasty lunchbox, folders (for school), and headband.
I made C special Duck Dynasty pictures that I taped onto the wrapping paper. They even framed one of them he liked it so much!

E is my little Superman fan. I got him a cape, Superman blanket, and action figure (oh, and Superman underwear, which is he proudly wearing in this picture).
My sweet boys
Someone didn't want Aunt Rachel sleeping in on Friday morning, so he was over bright and early at GiGi and Pawpaw's to wake me up
We decided to go swimming for most of the morning and part of the afternoon (well, K and E did, C was in school). This was before a yellow jacket stung me. Yeah, I'm allergic to those by the way. Fun times. I'll spare you a picture of my swollen ankle (for now at least).
Swimming with Aunt Rachel. I was so proud of K, she took off her floaties and was swimming so well!
Me and my niece Alice after a long day of swimming with her kids. We were all ready for naps after that!
I'm loving...
Football. I know, baseball is my first love and it's still baseball season, but I was excited to go to a high school football game on Friday night (and I was able to catch the last half of the Texas Tech game on TV after that). And I watched the Texas A&M game on Saturday with my sister, the Aggie graduate.
Friday Night Lights
 C loved watching football
E probably enjoyed dancing to the music the band was playing more than he did watching the game.
Watching the Texas A&M game with my two sisters and C and E
I'm loving...
That it takes so many attempts to get a picture with my little nephews and niece. The outtakes are fun though!

I'm loving...

My guy friends. I was having a blah day yesterday and some of them sent me a text to me to cheer me up. I love you guys! I'm removing their names (because I don't want to embarrass them, but they know who they are). :)

I'm loving...

That CBS is back on Time Warner. I will have football and Shemar Moore in my house this fall. Weehoo!!

YAY!!! CBS is back!
Hope everyone has a great day!

XOXO!

Mobile Monday

Happy Monday my lovelies! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was pretty good. I had a BLAST at the Rock & Worship Show on Friday night with my friends Mel and Laura. Anytime I go to a concert like that, I leave feeling so uplifted, it was great!

Killing time with Laura while riding the DART train to the AAC
Waiting for the concert to start with Mel!
Group shot with my gals!
We had really good seats. I was able to buy them through my work for a discounted price. I just put best available (it was the same price for all tickets). They had us on the second row by the floor area. It was great!
Kutless
Jeremy Camp, who I love love love! He's my favorite!
MercyMe, another one of my favorite artists!
Saturday I went to the southside of town where I used to live and had dinner with my Dallas "moms". One of them was the same one I stayed with when I first got back to town. I think her cat Miss Foxie missed me! As soon as I sat down, she cuddled up next to me.

Saturday night my friend Monica and I went to the see zombie movie Warm Bodies. It was actually pretty funny. I found out if you have the Cinemark app and put it on "Cinemode" during the movie, afterward you get a coupon or discount. Sweet deal! I need to remember to use this anytime I go to a movie.

Sunday I went to church then watched movies with my roommate (who I only get to call my roommate for a few more days, since I move to my new apartment on Saturday). I can't believe my move date is finally here. I'm trying not to stress, I'm hoping I can find enough people to help me move. I'm probably renting a small U-Haul so I can fit everything in it. I just have heavy furniture. And neither my old or new apartment is on the first level (yeah stairs).

Anyways, I hope everyone had a great weekend! I forgot to post my February Photo Challenge this weekend so you get three pictures today!

February Photo Challenge:
