Blog Challenge Day 10: Educational Training

**For some reason when this first posted, it showed a post date of 8/8 instead of 8/10. I removed that posted and am reposting it today, just so the blog challenge will be in order.**

What educational training have you had?

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications (Journalism) from a private university in Texas. I graduated from there in May 2000.

I'm updating this from my phone while I'm at the lake, so it's a short post today!

Xoxo!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm loving...

Day games when the Rangers are on the West Coast. This means I can only listen to the game on the radio instead of watching it on TV, BUT, this also means I don't have to stay up half the night watching the game. Seriously West Coast, would you at least consider coming over to the Central Time Zone? Games that start at 9 p.m. take a beating on me. I'm not as young as I used to be (and in 8 days I'll turn a year older).

I love these guys....this picture makes me smile!
I'm loving...

The ability to stream Netflix on my iPhone. I know I've said it before, but seriously, Netflix streaming is quite possibly one of the greatest inventions ever. I love being able to watch TV shows/movies on my iPhone while I'm at work away from home. BTW, does anyone else find a TV show on Netflix and feel the need to watch all the seasons in just a matter of weeks? I've done that with so many shows. Some of them were shows I just didn't watch when they were originally on (Friday Night LightsHarper's Island). Some were shows I kinda remember watching but didn't watch all of it (Dawson's Creek, My So-Called Life), and some were shows that are still on that I'm now hooked on (Revenge, Bones). I found a show called Murdoch Mysteries (which airs in Canada). It's currently airing season 6 on TV, but only the first three seasons are available on Netflix. I'm impatiently patiently waiting for seasons four and five to be available. Just this week I started watching Prison Break (I never watched it when it was on originally). I'm possibly almost done with season 1. :)

I'm loving...

That I came across all the letters/cards that my best friend mailed (yes, real mail) to me my freshman year of college.
I know, I'm a pack rat. But I'm so glad I kept these. :)
I'm loving...

That my sweet Twitter peeps were coming to my defense last weekend when someone told me I wasn't a good Rangers fan. All I tweeted was that I was waving a white flag because a certain pitcher was coming into the game (because he usually sucks). Long story- the person who called me a bad fan was the pitcher's wife (who I don't follow, guess she did a search of his name looking for tweets and found mine). Don't mess with me, I have awesome Twitter followers!! :) And don't you dare call me a bad fan!! :)

These are just a few of the sweet tweets sent to me Saturday.
Cutting it short today my lovelies!! Have a wonderful day!

XOXO!

Phone Photo Fun Monday

I know this isn't a link up anymore, but I had some people comment that they missed my Phone Photo Fun Monday posts, so I decided to bring it back (at least to my blog). :) Also since I've ONCE AGAIN been absent from my blog, it will give me a good chance to catch you up on my crazy life! :) I think maybe one of my New Year's Resolutions will be to start being more devoted to my blog. :) So, back by popular demand, what's on my iPhone right now....
I know Thanksgiving was like 3 weeks ago, but here are some pictures of my family Thanksgiving!

I uploaded some pictures from my college days onto my Facebook page. I know, I know, I look so young! :)

My buddy Wes came over and helped me decorate my apartment with my Christmas decorations.

Some of the Christmas decorations around my office...

I got dressed up all sorts of fancy a few times (ignore my devilish glowing eyes in the first pic).

My BFF's husband mailed me this awesome Rangers "slanket" to keep at my office. :)

I got to hang out with some friends who I don't get to see very often!

I had two incredibly cute dates (the dates were actually on the same day.) ;)

I went to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags with some friends.

I found a Rangers blanket that LITERALLY had my name on it! ;)

I was excited to wear my winter hat for the first time this season. :)

Okay, was that too much? Are you in picture overload?? I think you are pretty much caught up on what's going on around here. I hope you are all doing well. Can you believe it's just 2 weeks until Christmas?? Seriously, where did 2012 go??

XOXO!

It's OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK..

...that this is the first time since April that I've linked up for It's OK Thursday.

...that the American League sucked stunk it up didn't do well at the MLB All Star Game this Tuesday. Regardless, I'm still proud of the EIGHT Rangers that represented the team at the game! :)
...that even though I wanted the American League to win, I was excited to see Chipper Jones of the Atlanta Braves (National League team) there. **insert teenage girl sigh here**.
Chipper retires at the end of the season, this was his last All-Star Game.
...to make your friend buy you a poncho when it starts raining during the Rangers game (I'm made of sugar, I might melt). Thanks again Brandon! :) Best part- it's a reusable poncho with the Rangers logo. :)
...that this describes me perfectly when I'm driving in traffic.
...to really REALLY hate having to type in a CAPTCHA whenever I post on a blog, message board, or when I try to order something online. Did you know it actually stands for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart? I can understand WHY these sites have to have them, but they really annoy me. Especially when you can't read the letters (or numbers).

...that I've been listening to a lot of 90's music on Pandora radio this past week. It takes me back to my high school and college days!

I forgot how much I liked TLC (that's right, I admit it, judge me if you must)! I know, you are shocked I like music other than country! ;)

...that I get so bored I take random pictures of myself on my iPhone (I have no life at all!)

We are almost to the weekend sweet friends, hang in there!!

XOXO!

Wednesday Ramblings

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I enjoyed spending time with my family. I will eventually put up more pictures, I just haven't had time to upload them from my camera yet. Here are a few that I took with my iPhone to hold you over until then!

"E" wearing Aunt Rachel's hat (my friend Monica knitted me the hat for Christmas!)

"C" showing Aunt Rachel some animal from the manger toy set.

My nephew "D" getting a drink of water after church.

I still can't believe that it's almost 2011. Seriously, I don't like that time seems to be speeding up! It just seems like yesterday it was 2000 and I was graduating college. I had all these crazy dreams of being a writer. And I looked so young. **sigh** Where does the time go?

May 2000. Yes I had very blonde hair back then. Moving on...

Speaking of the New Year, I'll probably post a few New Year's Resolutions in the next few days. As well my "Year in Review: 2010". I just work half a day tomorrow and I'm off work on Friday, so maybe I'll finally find time to devote to my blog. Or honestly, I might watch the NCIS marathon on USA (you know my weakness for crime shows- and my nerd/geek crush on Sean Murray-AKA Special Agent Tim McGee). ;)

The geeky, yet adorable, Sean Murray

Part of me knows I should spend either Thursday or Friday taking down my Christmas decorations, but it's so depressing for me to do that. But at the same time, I know if I don't do it now, I won't have time later. I just need to get it over with. January is a pretty busy month for me, I don't have many free weekends. I have a luncheon with some former college roommates, a baby shower for my BFF in Austin, and the Rangers Fanfest (it's a two day event this year!) Oh yes my friends, 94 days and counting until Opening Day. And 48 days until Spring Training! Wahoo!

So, speaking of baseball, and in honor of C.J. Wilson's intro song making it to the final four of the "Ben and Skin's Year End Audio Recap"*, I leave you today with a soundbite of it. It's a catchy tune, they play it whenever C.J. is on the air (or on days when he pitches in the post season). Laugh at me if you must, but it can make me smile even when I'm having a bad day. :)

*Ben and Skin is a sports talk show that airs on 103.3FM ESPN in Dallas weekdays 9-noon (CST). I love these guys. Even if you don't live in Dallas, you can listen to them online. Go here. They make me laugh!! :)
