If you have been following my blog for a while, you know that I have been growing out my hair in order to donate it to a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients (or any other illness that causes hair loss). This past Saturday I finally went in and had my hair cut. I'm donating my ponytail to
Pink Heart Funds (please click here to go to their website). They provide wigs to patients free of charge (there are other charities that charge patients for the wigs). One of the reasons I went with
Pink Heart Funds is because the patient gets the wig free of charge.
Pink Heart Funds requires that your ponytail be at least 8 inches long, I was able to donate just over 9 inches. My hair is now shorter than it has been in a long time, but I like it. It's a lot cooler (seeing that it's been 100+ degrees for almost three weeks now.) And, I went from spending 45-50 minutes drying/straightening my hair to only taking 15 minutes. That is REALLY nice!
Here are some pictures of my adventures!
