What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving...

These pictures of Miss E that my BFF's husband put on Facebook. Seeing her sweet smile always makes my day so much better!! And I love that she is a little book worm. :)

I'm loving...

The church that I started going to last month on my new side of town. I really like it and I've already made some new friends there. I really feel God has me at this church for a reason. I'm looking forward to getting placed within a community group (which is basically another name for Bible study group) here in the next few weeks. I also like their singles Tuesday night worship service. It makes me realize I'm NOT the only single person in DFW (which I sometimes feel like I am!)

I'm loving...

Rusty. Well, this particular Rusty. He is my friend Matt's dog (he's named after Rangers great, Rusty Greer). Matt posted this picture on Facebook with the caption, "Just broke the news to Rusty that Michael Young, Josh Hamilton, and Mike Napoli are no longer Rangers." (Author's note: A moment of silence please). Rusty is just too cute!
How can you look at this sweet face and NOT smile? :) Picture was stolen used with permission from Matt's Facebook page.
I'm loving...

How my friends will send me sweet messages (via text or Facebook) when I'm feeling down. They really cheer me up! :)
I love my friends!
I'm loving...

Any interview with Dick Van Dyke (I found this one on YouTube from a few months ago). As you know, he's my favorite actor. This man is a true legend! He's doing great for someone 87 years young!

Mobile Monday

What's on my phone this week..

Getting ready to workout. It seems a workout only counts if you mention it on some form of social media (seeing that EVERYONE has to mention either on Facebook or Twitter when they are going to the gym or have been at the gym). I didn't want to anger the "workout gods", so to be safe I posted this on Instagram. :)

I love the directions on the Pie Five pizza box! I'm so glad they put this there, I wouldn't have known.
I saw this book- it made me laugh!!
This is so true.
This van almost hit me and my roommate on our way to work. I wasn't driving, so I took a picture and tweeted that we were almost killed by this driver (I copied the name of the company). The company did respond asking where it happened and that they would be forwarding the info to the local office. Not sure if that happened or not. Don't mess with me- the Wrath of Rachel is very powerful. :)
Got to see my favorite Twitter momma, Mama T, on Friday. Follow her on Twitter here.
Me and the sweetest date I've ever had!
Anti-Valentine's Day cookies. The top left one makes me laugh!
Watching the Super Bowl with my friend Rachel. When the two Rachels are together, NOTHING good can come from it! This is a fact. :)
We are getting closer my friends...
Text from the 9 year old son of some friends of mine (see picture of the sweetest date above). He got a hold of my cell number and sent me this text. Yeah, he's a heart-breaker. He's already told me he's probably going to marry someone in his class though. At least he's honest. There need to be more honest guys like that! ;)

Day 4: favorite color

Happy Monday my friends!

February Photo Challenge Day 1

I found this awesome blog by Tori and decided to participate in her February Photo Challenge! You should check out her blog, it's great! :) She is my newest blog to follow. Since I don't have internet access where I'm currently living, I'm not sure I can post on the weekends, but I'm gonna try. I might have to get caught up on days two and three on Monday, we shall see!

If you would like to participate in this challenge as well, check out the link here.
Day 1: Friend
Me and my BFF Mandy (and a few pics of Miss E)
I like that Tori starts each month with a list of goals. In order to complete my 101 in 1001 by August, I've decided to steal borrow that idea. For an update on how I'm doing on my 101 in 1001, check it out here. I don't think I'll get it all done by the end of August, but I'm pleased with my progress. I also plan to add a few things NOT on that list to my goals for each month.

Personal Goals:
- Get caught up on my daily Bible reading (I hate that I've gotten behind and it's only the first month of the year!) Ug! I'm so bad. This year I'm reading the Bible cover to cover (a few years ago I read it in chronological order, which was interesting).
- Have dinner with a friend who I haven't seen in a least three months.
- Write at least 10,000 words in my story. You might not know, but I used to write short stories when I was younger. And no, no one ever really read them. I have a friend encouraging me to write again (and even let others read it). It's not as easy as it sounds. I've been stuck for a while.
- Read at least ONE book that I haven't read from the 50 banned books list (I've been so bad about this).
- Get moved into my new apartment (okay, I know I'm moving in a few weeks, I just had to put something that I KNEW I could get accomplish). :)
- Make new friends at the church I've been attending the past month.
- Cut back on my Dr Pepper drinking (I'm typing this as I'm drinking a Dr Pepper).

Have a great weekend my friends!

XOXO!

It's OK...

It's OK...

...that I have been in an "off" mood most of this week. BUT, it's almost Friday, I'm ready to put this week behind me and have a relaxing weekend of doing absolutely nothing (except going to church and my friend's Super Bowl party on Sunday).

...that I'm UBER excited about my trip to Boston in June to see my friend Jodi! We've been talking about this trip for months and it's finally all planned out!
Me and Jodi at our friend Katie's wedding last year
...that I'm possibly even MORE uber excited that while I'm in Boston NOT ONLY will we be seeing these guys in concert...
Oh yes, our tickets are bought, be jealous...
...BUT, I'm finally going to get to see a baseball game at Fenway Park. AND it just so happens MY TEXAS RANGERS will be in Boston at the same time I will be there. It's like they planned it just for me. Thank you Nolan for making that possible (I just assume he had something to do with it, since I'm such a big Rangers fan and all). :)
I can soon mark Fenway Park off my list of baseball ballparks to see in person!
...that I'm taking time to wish Nolan Ryan a happy birthday on my blog. Happy 66th Nolan!!
Me shaking hands with Nolan at FanFest last year. We are practically BFFs.
...that I may or may not be watching My So-Called Life on Netflix streaming. Don't judge.

...that I wish Jared Leto still looked like this...
...and not this...

...that I'm really excited about these upcoming concerts coming to Dallas. Who wants to go with me to any of these shows?

...that I had no clue that Channel 8 weatherman Pete Doofus Delkus played baseball back in the day.
You learn something new everyday!
What's OK with you today??

XOXO!

Happy birthday Alice!

I wanted to use my blog to wish my niece Alice a very happy birthday today! We are only a few years apart (6 years is considered "only a few years" right?) We have always been more like sisters than niece/aunt. We are very close. I'm so blessed to have her in my life. I love that I can talk to her about anything!! For those familiar with my blog, she is the momma of C and E, my great-nephews. For those not familiar, here's a picture of them (aren't they adorable?) :)

The boys in their matching Thanksgiving turkey shirts.
Anyways, my roommate introduced me to another photo app yesterday called InstaPicFrames (this is the second photo app in like two weeks she's gotten me hooked on). Yeah, I'm out of control. I made a few collages of me and Alice over the years that I wanted to post for you today. Happy birthday Alice, love you and I can't wait to see you soon!!

XOXO!
