So, I'm a LITTLE behind on my blog challenge. I had to go back and see what day I left off on. So, here we go, picking back up at Day 11.
Day 11: Describe 10 pet peeves you have
1. People who have a cart full of groceries in the self check out line (especially when I just have two or three items). I thought there was a limit on how many items you could have in that line.
2. Solo drivers in the carpool lane. Also, cars who only go about 20 MPH in the HOV lane.
3. People who do the wave when the Rangers are up to bat. Even the Rangers don't like it. They put a "no wave" message on the jumbo tron when the wave starts. I'm not trying to be a baseball snob, just don't come between me and the Ranger player who is at bat. ;)
4. Kids who wear pants that are like four sizes too big and are practically falling off of them.
5. Someone who is constantly canceling or bailing on you when you have plans, then calls you and makes you feel guilty for never seeing them.
6. People who don't respect your morals. I respect what you believe, please respect what I believe.
7. People who overhear a private conversation in a personal office, then
decide to come in and ask what you were talking about. Um...NONE OF YOUR
BUSINESS.
8. When someone throws a cigarette butt out their car window (especially if it flies back and hits my car).
9. When it's Friday the 13th and NO cable station is airing the original Friday the 13th movie.
10. Adults who are bullies (granted I don't care for kids who are bullies either, but adults should know better).
Hope everyone has a great weekend!! Thanks to everyone for reading! I enjoy the comments, tweets and emails y'all send. :)
XOXO!
oh I hate it when poeple throw stuff out of their cars too! Great list!
ReplyDeletethe ciggie thing is a peeve of mine as well.
ReplyDeletealso "ATM machine" and "PIN number" especially from those in the banking industry.
other forms of redundancy and clutter as well.
Ugh, people who do not yield to the ramp. There is a reason why the cars exiting the highway have the right of way, they are coming off the highway. And no, the right lane is not excluded, that is why there are yield signs on both side of the service road. Such a pet peeve.
ReplyDeleteI agree with lots of these. Especially #6 (since I've had a lot of people ... including close friends... telling me I need to give up on the idea of waiting til marriage) and #10 (because I just don't see the point in being mean to people).
ReplyDeleteA few more pet peeves -- misuse of apostrophes (parents' vs parent's and it's/its, etc.) and people saying "four year anniversary" (it's FOURTH anniversary).
Um, yes. Pretty much all of these! Except the wave-- it doesn't bother me like it bothers y'all. Lol. But I'm with you on #6. Just because you don't agree with me doesn't mean I'm stupid. And also-- I hate those stupid forwarded emails with some silly story that you're supposed to forward to 15 people. I can't believe people still forward those things!! Hahaha
ReplyDeleteI agree with most of these. (I don't think the self-check lines are the same as the limited items lines.???? Are they?) And I understand that it's a cool badge of a long-time baseball fan, to be anti-wave, but I don't mind it at all. Fun to see kids light up watching for it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great weekend, Rachel, and I so agree with you on those people who make plans and then cancel. More annoying than that are those people who do that SO OFTEN that you KNOW you can depend upon them cancelling and then they don't! Can't people at least be predictable?? ;-)
ReplyDeleteSelling the kids with long pants to the circus sounds like a good move to me.♥♥
Yes! I so agree. And would be able to add about 10 more. Ha!! I hate when people throw their cig butts anywhere!
