What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I totally forgot that it was Wednesday! I'm sorry this is so late going up!!

I'm loving...

That I got to spend time with these sweet kiddos last weekend!

Aunt Rachel's little angels. Okay, they aren't angels all of the time. Especially E in the background there. Lol

These two love SnapChat and all the silly faces they can make with it
Miss K kept wishing me a Happy Mother's Day. I told her I was only an aunt. She said that was better! :)

I'm loving...

That I got to see Captain America: Civil War last Thursday night. Captain America is my favorite Avenger. :)

My sweet and soon-to-be-law-school-graduate nephew James was in town and went with me and my friends to the movie
My friend Mel and I always take a picture before the movie starts
I'm loving...

That my Texas Rangers scored seven runs last night in the 8th inning to come back and win the game after being down by five runs. HELLO WIN COLUMN! #NeverEverQuit

I'm loving...

How pretty the sky looked before the storm hit last night. Yes, I'm the person outside taking pictures when storms are rolling in. Don't judge.

I'm loving...

That I've worked on my novel again this week. I only have 12,000 words but I'm so determined to finish it. I'll keep y'all posted.

What are YOU loving today??

XOXO!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving...

That I got to have dinner with my beautiful friend Angie two weeks in a row. Yes, we went back to Pizzarella (we may or may not be addicted to that place). Sadly Kevin was not working this time, but our waitress was Gabby and she was wonderful!

With our awesome waitress Gabby!
I'm loving...

That I got to meet up with some of my beautiful peeps at Rangers games last week (I know, shocker that I went to a few games). I'm also loving that my friend Harry let me sit in his season ticket seats on Friday night. I had tickets in the upper deck but when he wasn't able to make it to the game, he told me the right usher to talk to, and I was able to sit in his seats. He has much better season seats than I do. Lol.

Harry's seats are behind the visitor's dugout
Always love seeing a Rangers win!
I'm loving...

The calm after the storm. Rainbows remind me that God is always there to help me weather whatever storm life throws at me.

We had bad storms on Friday an hour or so before the game (I was prepared for more rain- I had a poncho). Thankfully the second round of storms held off. We had a nice reminder of God's promise to us during the game.
I'm loving...

That I posted on a day that WASN'T WEDNESDAY! If you missed it, I posted my latest book review on Monday. Check it out!

I'm loving...

That my bestie Brandy and I pulled off a surprise birthday dinner for her hubby last weekend. We had been planning it for over a month. He's turning 40 so we had a Batman/Superman theme party to help him feel like a kid. I made the decorations (thanks to ideas from Pinterest) as well as "photo booth" props for people to use in pictures. I even had little "gift bags" for the guests. :) A fun time was had by all!

The birthday boy had a birthday cape he had to wear
My partner in crime, the BFF Brandy!
The photo booth props were a hit!
I'm loving...

That I went to my first musical of the year this past weekend. I saw Wicked with my friends Mel and Aaron. I've seen it before (okay, this was my fourth time seeing it), but I still enjoyed it. The gal who played Glinda did an amazing job!

I'm loving...

When my friends from out of town make time to see me while they are in Dallas. My friend Dan was in town on business this past week so we met up for dinner. A very fun evening!

Book Review 2016: Ten Things God Desires For You

**All reviews on Randomness With Rachel are done on a five star rating system. The reviews are solely my opinion and no one else's. Randomness With Rachel does not receive any incentives or compensations for reviews.**

Ten Things God Desires For You by Jeremy Gaston

Have you ever read a book and felt the author was talking specifically TO you? That was how I felt reading Ten Things God Desires For You. I couldn't put the book down. I could relate to EVERYTHING the author said.

I read this book in one sitting, but I feel it would make a great Bible study (either as an individual or a group). It made me think about situations currently going on in my life and what I need to do to make my life better. I loved at the end of each chapter the author listed "Things to Consider". That was one of my favorite things about the book.

I highly recommend this book to everyone, regardless where you are in your walk with God. You will not be disappointed. You can find the e-book or paperback on Amazon.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Please link up below! :)

I'm loving...

This shirt. I need this shirt. When I was a sports editor for a newspaper (many, MANY years ago), my nickname was Wonderwoman. I was also born in 1978. :)

I'm loving...

That my friend Jeremy published his book last week. I've read it and will review it on my blog soon, I PROMISE! But I seriously recommend it. Check it out here!

I'm loving...

That I got to see my friends Katie and Donny last week. They live in North Carolina and I hadn't seen them in over a year. We met up at a Rangers game and had a great time. It was so good to see them and other members of my Rangers family! Yes, I tend to run into people I know when I'm at the Ballpark. One of my Twitter friends happened to be sitting in the row behind me (it was great to finally meet her!)

I'm loving...

My new blender. A friend gave it to me as an EARLY birthday gift and I made my first smoothie last night. A-MAZ-ING. I look forward to trying out other recipes in it.

I'm loving...

That I got to dog-sit for my friend Chance last weekend. I always love time with Dobby, he's so sweet (except when he poops and pees on my living room carpet- but I think he did that out of spite because he got mad I wouldn't share my food).

Aunt Rachel's handsome boy!
Enjoying a car ride!
He loves watching Rangers baseball
Don't let this cuteness fool you. This is the look he gave me after I scolded him for pooping in the living room
I'm loving...

The show Parks and Recreation. Okay, I'm not really LOVING it, but I'm LIKING it a lot. I never watched it when it was on the air, but thanks to my Netflix addiction, it has made its way into my queue. It's quite funny. And I'm possibly in love with the Chris Pratt and Adam Scott characters. They are both adorkable. Yes, I meant to spell that word that way.

I'm loving...

When I get to go out to dinner with a good friend. Last week my friend Angie and I met for pizza at this local place called Pizzarella. We both ordered our own pizza (since we wanted different toppings). I honestly ordered it thinking I would take half of it home, but the waiter Kevin challenged me that I couldn't eat the whole pizza. Challenged accepted. And won. Don't tell me I can't do something. :)

Why yes, we did take a picture with our waiter. He's awesome. Angie and I are possibly meeting there again this week for dinner. Kevin is going to think we are stalking him
I'm loving...

That my folks came to visit me last weekend. Well, my mother was really in town to see the Bill Gaither Vocal Band Homecoming concert and just needed a place to stay. Lol. Bill Gaither is a gospel singer (for those who have never heard of him). He and his wife Gloria have been performing for many, MANY years. My mom owns most of their DVDs. And there is now a 24-hour Gaither channel on Dish that she watches ALL THE TIME. It was a two-day concert. My dad went with her on Friday night and I went with her on Saturday afternoon (while my dad stayed home with Dobby). While I'm not the biggest Gaither fan out there, it was cool to see my mom enjoying it. And she was able to meet Gloria Gaither during intermission. I have never seen my mom that excited. It was a fun weekend with them. They went to my church on Sunday and loved meeting everyone in my Sunday School class. :)

Our view during the concert
I call my mom a Bill Gaither groupie. Lol
Gloria Gaither with her biggest fan
My dad had fun with Dobby over the weekend. He wants a dog but my mom keeps saying no
I'm loving...

This Rangers throw that my Secret Sister at church made me. It was my final gift for the month of April- I LOVE IT!! All of the gifts she gave me were great.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Sorry this is later in the day going up! Please feel free to put your blog link below for the weekly link-up! :)

I'm loving...

That I got to see this handsome guy on Saturday night. He's pretty much my absolute favorite guy to see. And his dad is alright too. ;)

My bestie's son

I'm loving...

That my folks are coming to visit me this weekend! I'm so excited, they haven't stayed at my place in a few years. :)

I'm loving...

That I finally picked up this book. It's been on my "to read" list for a while now. I have a few friends from Twitter that wanted to do a Twitter Book Club, so we picked this as our first read. It's good so far! :)

I'm loving...

Rangers baseball. You might as well be aware that pretty much every week from now until November, I'm going to mention something about baseball. Lol. ;)

My beautiful friend Kathy and I on our way to the game last Thursday
Our friends Misti and Larry were able to join us- we had a blast! And GREAT seats!!
With my friends on Friday night
I'm loving...

The Rangers Twitter account. They responded to my tweet last Thursday. :)

I'm loving..

That I have a hook up and got a new Rangers blanket. :)

I'm loving...

That I met Shirley, the famous Rangers cookie lady, last Thursday night. If you listen to the Rangers broadcast, they are always talking about Shirley providing them cookies. I met her and she's super sweet. And yes, she gave me a cookie (it was delicious!) :)

I'm loving...

That even though I canceled cable, I still have ways of watching all the sports either online or on my FireStick. :) And sometimes I watch more than one game at once (I call it multi-tasking). :) Thank goodness for a TV, laptop, and iPad. :)
