Tuesday Tunes-Thank you Billy!

I wasn't sure what to blog about today. I thought about going off on the CVS Pharmacy located by my apartment and how I feel everyone who works there is an incompetent idiot, but I figured y'all have your own problems, you don't want to read about mine. Cliff Notes version for those interested: I had to make three trips to CVS last night in a span of two hours because of their slowness and mix-ups. If you follow me on Twitter, you only saw a portion of my frustration last night. Despite me thinking all was okay after my second trip, it got worse and I had to make a third one. I just decided not to tweet about it. Okay, enough with that! **deep breath**

Anyways, in order to calm me down today and put my awful Monday behind me, I've been watching videos of listening to Billy Currington. I absolutely love his voice (okay, I can't lie, he's nice to look at too). I'm feeling so much better. It's either Billy Currington's voice or the fact that I had a 10 minute massage a little while ago. I know I complain about my job at times, but we have some nice perks here in my office. Twice a week we have a massage therapist that comes in and gives 10 minute massages to employees (from 1-5pm). It's on a first come, first serve basis. I woke up with my neck killing me. After the massage, it feels SO MUCH better.

Anyways, I thought I would post some Billy Currington videos for your viewing listening pleasure! For those non country fans- at least try listening to one (you know who you are!) :) If nothing else, mute it and watch it! ;)

Is it sad the first thing I noticed in this video is that gas prices were $1.61? ;)

Scenes in this video might not be appropriate for any niece of mine who is 13 years old. ;) I refuse to have your dad mad at me for letting you watch it. Love you for reading my blog though!! :)

One of my favorite songs!

Not gonna lie- I kinda wanna be the girl in this video and have Billy chasing after me. ;)

The title of this song is something I think ALL the time!

Gotta love country boys! :)

Anyways, here's hoping that tonight is better. I'm going to TRY to get back on track working out (I may or may not have slacked off the past few weeks). :/

XOXO!

Phone Photo Fun Monday

You might remember last week I mentioned how I had an addiction to the app Instagram. Well, thanks to my friend Beks, I am now addicted to Snapbucket. It's very similar to Instagram, except there are more effects/borders for your digital pictures. And yes, the app is free (at least for iPhones, I'm assuming it's free for all phones). Of course I had to try the effects out on my photos for today's post!

Last week wasn't the best of weeks for me (dare I say it was positively AWFUL), so after I left work on Friday, I was in dire need of some retail therapy. It was perfect because I had a coupon for Kohl's (hey, they wasted a tree to send it to me, I might as well use it)! I'm not usually one of those people who take pictures of themselves in mirrors (because it annoys me), but I was having to text pictures of what I was getting to my friend Laura (to get her opinion). :)

My super cute new tops! :)
After my bad week, a Chick Fil-A chocolate milkshake was JUST what I needed!!
Saturday night a group of friends and I went out to dinner for my friend Jaimie's birthday!
Me and Beks at Jaimie's party (yes, I'm wearing one of my new tops)!
Me and DeeDee with the birthday girl!
I got to see my friend Shalonda twice last week (after not seeing her since last summer)!
Me and my buddy Lance
Me and my friend Chad (trying not to get blown away- it was super windy Saturday night)
Believe it or not, I watched a lot of baseball this weekend! :)

Hope everyone is having a good Monday!
XOXO!

What I'm Loving Wednesday... Thursday 13 Style

I won't go into the gory details, but this week has been a beating for me (prayers are greatly appreciated!) I meant to write my What I'm Loving Wednesday post yesterday, but something came up that prevented me from getting to it. SO, I decided to write a Thursday 13 post about What I'm Loving Wednesday Thursday. Confused? Yeah, me too. So anyways, here I go! For more Thursday 13 posts, click here.

I'm loving...
Baseball season. Even though the Rangers didn't really deserve to lose the two games they have (I'm not saying that because I'm a fan, they really should have won them), baseball season is off to a great start! I've been to four games already and am looking forward to many more this season!
Balloons that a co-worker gave me last week in honor of baseball season starting.
I'm loving...
Instagram. I may or may not have gone "Instagram-happy" lately. For those who don't know, it's an app that allows you to add special effects/borders to your digital pictures. Yeah, I'm out of control.
Just a sample of a Instagram special effect. You will see many samples in this post today!
I'm loving...
That my friend Shalyn had her baby last week!! Congrats girl, I'm so happy for you and Cooper! My gift is on the way soon, I promise!

I'm loving...
These pictures of my sweet great-nephews E and C. These smiles made my bad week so much better!

I'm loving...
That I got a raise after my last yearly review at work. Weehoo!!

I'm loving...
That my nephew James and his girlfriend Alyssa got engaged last weekend! Welcome to the family Alyssa! Love y'all!
E delivered the ring so James could propose (James didn't want to have it in his pocket all day).
The happy couple!
I'm loving...
The song "Woman Like You" by Lee Brice. I think it's really cute! :)

I'm loving...
That the Rangers and Papa John's have teamed up together again this season. Anytime the Rangers score at least 7 runs in a game (and win), the next day all orders placed on the Papa John's website are 50% off (if you use the code RANGERS7). Side note: Offer is only good at participating Papa John's in the DFW area.
Rangers won 11-5 on Monday, so on Tuesday a co-worker and I ordered a pizza for lunch. Thanks to the discount, the large pizza was only $6!
I'm loving...
The American League trophy we got at the Rangers game on Sunday. I honestly thought it was going to be small and cheesy looking, but I think it looks cool.
I feel all sorts of special. I'm a nerd, I know.

I'm loving...
That it's been two weeks since the great "Spring Cleaning of 2012" and my apartment still looks presentable. It's a miracle! :)

I'm loving...
That I can now post pictures of my nephew J. My brother and his wife adopted him a couple of months ago! For the past two years he was a foster child (and due to laws, I couldn't post pictures of him online). But now he is officially ours so I can post away! :)
He was very excited about candy inside the Easter egg!
I'm loving...
That besides hanging out with some friends, I really have no big plans this weekend. I have about 8 movies on my DVR I'm hoping to have time to watch!

I'm loving...
The Rangers commercials this year. I can't find them online, so I recorded this one with my phone off the TV the other night. For those non-Rangers fans, this player is Derek Holland. Everyone makes fun of the fact he can't really grow a mustache.

Have a great day y'all!!

XOXO!

It's Baseball Time in Texas!

I could go on and on about how much fun I had at the Ballpark this weekend for Rangers Opening Weekend OR I could just post pictures of my adventures. Since I'm feeling lazy, I think I'll just post pictures. And yes, I'm going again tonight to the game (for those playing along at home, that will be game number four of the season for me). I'll catch up on sleep another time (I may or may not be running on less than 5 hours of sleep since I got home late from the game last night).
Me and my tailgating crew...

View from my season ticket holder seat
Me and my baseball homegirls (you will see LOTS of pictures of them over the next 7 months!)
The flyover during the National Anthem. I got this shot on accident. I couldn't see because of the sun and I just aimed my camera at the sky!

I always love running into friends at a Rangers game!

On Saturday some Lady Rangers fans met up for lunch at Chuy's. It was a lot of fun! We hope to do it again!

Our poor waiter, Colton. He had to put up with 21 women. If you are ever at Chuy's in Arlington, ask for him. He's a super nice guy!
Tailgating again on Saturday. Got to meet some awesome friends from Twitter!

Got to meet the great Chuck Morgan (the voice of the Rangers). When you go to the game, he's the one who announces the players as they come up to bat. He starts the game by saying, "It's Baseball Time in Texas". :)
Our view Saturday night (this game wasn't part of our 20 pack deal, we bought it separately).
Guess I have to lay off the Chick Fil-A milkshakes- I broke my seat! :(
We were able to see the Rangers get their AL Championship rings!
The BFF was there with friends- we met up towards the end of the game.
Despite heavy rain storms all afternoon on Sunday (see warning on my TV and my flooded parking lot above), the game still went on that night! Again, we weren't in our regular seats. We were one section over from where we were Saturday night (still on the back row though).
It was a lot cooler up at the top than we thought it would be after the rain storms. I was "forced" to buy a Rangers blanket from the gift shop!
My lovely fellow Rangers fans!
I was able to meet another Twitter peep Sunday night!
My own AL Championship trophy for being such an awesome fan (okay, so me and 29,999 other people got one as well, but hey, let me think I'm special!) :)
Hope you enjoyed the pictures! I'm looking forward to another 7 months of baseball!! Have a great day y'all!!

XOXO!
