Blog Challenge Day 6- Favorite Childhood Memories

Day 6: What are some of your favorite childhood memories?

Oh wow, there are so many good memories from my childhood. Going way back to my very early days, I remember playing outside a lot. I liked to ride around the yard on my Big Wheel or play baseball with my Bubba. At night, I would go outside and catch lightning bugs (aka fireflies to some of you). In the summer, I would either have a little pool, a sprinkler, or a Slip 'N Slide to keep cool! Gotta love Texas summers! :) I had a dog named Nicky and I used to run around outside in my backyard with him. I would try and get him on the Slip 'n Slide or in the pool, and he would have nothing to do with that. He was such a good dog though. I also spent a lot of time at the library (I know this shocks you). My dad would drop me off and I would spend an hour picking out what books I wanted to check out. This was probably a weekly or at least a couple of times a month event.

Riding around my house with my friend Justin. I think I was about four or five here. He and I found each other on Facebook a few years ago. We both admitted we had changed a little since this picture was taken. We hadn't seen each other since we were kids.
Playing baseball with my Bubba- this started the whole baseball obsession! :)

A LOT of my childhood was spent with my friends Mandy and Kristin. They lived a couple of streets over from me. I would either walk or ride my bike to their houses almost every day. I would say between the ages of 10-18, I spent the most time with them. We didn't even have to do anything in particular, sometimes we would just sit in Mandy's room and talk. I could probably write a book on all of our many adventures. I remember I could spend all day at Mandy's house and then go home and talk to her on the phone for hours. I miss that about my childhood- just being able to spend time with friends and not worry about adult responsibilities. I so didn't appreciate that time when I was younger!

I know somewhere in my photo albums I have more pictures of me, Mandy, and Kristin, but these are the only ones on my computer right now. Of course back when we were younger, we didn't have digital cameras and phones handy to take pictures all the time!

1989- our first Halloween together

1990- Halloween (Mandy's little sister Betsy is in the picture with us)

This was taken two and a half years ago at Mandy's baby shower. I think it was the last time we got a group picture. I need to get another one next time I'm in Austin!
Hope everyone has a great day!

XOXO!
