Mobile Monday and March Madness Update

Happy Monday friends! I hope y'all had a great weekend, mine was BUSY but fun!! I could really use a nap right now, I'm so tired! At least it's only a four day work week since we are off for Good Friday. Looking forward to going to my folks and seeing my family!

My friend Jodi was in town this past weekend, we got to meet up for dinner on Thursday night.
Monica, Jodi and me at the Riverwalk Cantina
Jodi's friend Georgina was in town with her. She was hilarious, we had a great time hanging out! I'm looking forward to hanging out again when I visit Boston in June!
Georgina recognized Vincent Izizarry from All My Children when he walked by us. I honestly haven't watch it since college (I had a roommate who watched it every day). BUT I remember him as Dr. David Hayward.
Jodi bought me this awesome bracelet from Alex and Ani. I LOVE it, and it's just in time for baseball season (6 days until Opening Day!)
Speaking of gifts, my sweet blogging friend Judy sent me this Audrey Hepburn book and a bar of her homemade soap. She found the book at a library sale near where she lives. BTW, you HAVE to check out her soap website, Soap 'N Such. I've bought several bars from her before, they are awesome!
Friday my friend Harrie and I went to the Titanic exhibit at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Harrie was in town from Chicago (she just moved there from England). We had a blast. If you live in the Metroplex, this exhibit is in town until the end of April. It's TOTALLY worth checking out!
This lady took our tickets, she was so nice. I told her I loved her hat.
As you entered the exhibit, they gave you a boarding pass. On the back was the name and information of a real passenger from the Titanic. It told you where they had been, why they were on the Titanic, and what class they had been staying in. At the end of the exhibit is a wall with all the names of the passengers, so you could see if your person survived or not. My person died on the Titanic.
I found out that Harrie had never been to a rodeo but was wanting to see one, so we headed over to the Fort Worth Stockyards for the rodeo (they have one every Friday and Saturday night). I think she liked it!
When in Texas, one must buy a cowboy hat! :)
I found these signs in the gift shop. I was tempted to buy them... :)
Also found a Rangers bandana at the gift shop (no, it's not underwear, more than one person has asked that). I didn't know what I was going to use it for, but I had to buy it (hello- it says RANGERS). :)
I found a use for it! Mordecai sporting his new Rangers do-rag! :)
Was able to meet up with Jodi again before she flew back home to Boston.
Lyn, Jodi, me, and Monica testing out the rocking chairs at The Cracker Barrel.
I was joking with Jodi and Harrie that they brought cold weather with them from Boston and Chicago. :) I'm SO READY for the 70 degree weather to come back!
March Madness Update

I enjoyed hearing who y'all would pick in my Men Madness brackets. A lot of people had the same picks as me. If you missed it last week, click here to see the first round bracket. There were a few upsets and I'm sure some controversial picks on my part (I'm expecting some hate mail). :) So anyways, we are on to Round 2. Like last time, feel free to tweet, email, or comment below with your picks!

Steven R. McQueen beating out Chris Evans in the first round surprised even me (and I'm the one controlling the brackets!) :)
I know, Christian Bale AND Bradley Cooper both went early in the tournament. There are a few people who will not be happy with this! :)
It was sad that Brenden Morrow got eliminated from the bracket this weekend, then the Dallas Stars went and traded him. A moment of silence please... :(
I'll be honest, I had to do "eenie, meenie, miney, mo" between Keith Urban and Dierks Bentley, I just couldn't decide!!
I will try to have my Sweet Sixteen up by Thursday.

XOXO!!

  4. It was SO great to see you. I am so tired from my busy trip that I haven't had the energy to blog about it yet but I will. It was really much too cold but I'll excuse that since there were so many other good things about TX!!!
