It's OK Thursday and My Sweet 16 Picks

It's OK...

...that I woke up at 4am and couldn't go back to sleep (I should be used to it by now).

...that I don't want to work today. Since we are closed tomorrow for Good Friday, a lot of people took today off, so I'm hoping it's a pretty quiet, uneventful day.

...that I was a little bummed we only had ONE new episode of Duck Dynasty last night instead of our normal two.

...that I am impatiently patiently waiting until 7:05pm CST on Sunday night!!
...that I'm about to bombard you with a bunch of baseball pins from Pinterest!

...that I'm so bad about mailing things. I've had something for sweet Miss E in Canada for almost a month and I keep forgetting to send it. I PROMISE to mail it this weekend!! :)

March Madness Update

This keeps getting more difficult each round deciding which guy to eliminate (I think I'm putting too much thought into it!) :) Anyways, we are down to the Sweet 16. I'll try and have my Elite 8 up on Monday!

I know a certain person is going to be very upset with the elimination of Ian Somerhalder. He was no match for Jensen though, sorry! :)
I hated to get rid of Mark-Paul Gosselaar (I'll always be Team Zack).
Let's be honest, are you SURPRISED that three out of the four remaining athletes are baseball players? :)
God bless country music, that is all I have to say! :)
I will do my best to post tomorrow from my folks house! If I don't get a chance to, I hope everyone has a great weekend and a blessed Easter!

XOXO!!

What I'm Loving and How Pinteresting...

I'm loving...

That I get to see these little munchkins this weekend! I haven't seen them since the beginning of the year!

C and E
I'm loving...

The stuff my sister Martha texts me. She sent me this last night (she's a math teacher). She makes me laugh! :)

For those who don't understand the math part, it translates, "I eight sum pi". :)
I'm loving...

Blue Bell sherbert. I've had a sore throat the past few days. I know you aren't supposed to eat ice cream or sherbert when you are sick (well, according to Web MD you aren't), but the cold sherbert sure felt nice on my sore throat. And my sore throat is a little bit better today. Oh, the miracle healing power of Blue Bell.

At the Pearly Gates, St. Peter is going to ask what kind of Blue Bell you want. Just watch, it's gonna happen. #HeavenOnEarth
I'm loving...

My Pinterest app. It makes two hour meetings much more bearable. Unless my boss is reading this, then I would NEVER be on Pinterest during a meeting. :)

Speaking of Pinterest...here is what I've been pinning lately (and by lately I mean today during that long pointless meeting).

Although with my sleeping issues, there is a good chance I'm awake at 4am.
Yeah, you know who you are! :)
Now that Disney has bought out Star Wars, my fears about Episode VII are increasing...
Thank you!
That long meeting caused me to post this.
Dang skippy. I share my bacon with no one! :)
One can never pin too many pictures of Ryan Gosling. :)
True story.
My sister might love math, but this is how I feel about it. :)
I love Jase, he is greatness! New episodes of Duck Dynasty tonight. Happy happy happy!
XOXO!!

Twitter Tuesday and Happy Birthday Momma!

I realized I haven't done one of these posts in a while. For those who follow me on Twitter and are not baseball fans, please be advised baseball season starts in five days. I will be tweeting a lot about Rangers baseball until (hopefully) the end of October. :)

There are several areas considered "storm shelters" in my building. The stairwell, the bathrooms, and the kitchens. I myself go to the kitchen nearest to my office. I figure if the building half caves in and we are trapped there for hours, might as well be near the fridge and vending machines!
Yeah, he just casually mentions being on Twitter. And the doofus doesn't even follow me. He did admit to stalking my timeline to see what I had been tweeting about. That's fair enough I suppose. :)
Let's not even talk about it!
I mentioned last week how the trip home took FOREVER! Seriously, we need those flying cars pronto!
Yes, I live tweet Duck Dynasty. It's pure greatness!! :)
My BFF got a Twitter account, I was encouraging her to tweet something. :)
This was one of my favorite Rangers ad a few years ago!! :)
My friends and I have interesting conversations via Twitter!
Seriously, can a girl catch a break? I was sick last week, woke up today feeling sick. Errr. I'm hoping it's just allergies. I took the cold medicine as a precaution. I don't really feel bad, just my throat hurts. :(
I wanted to wish my momma a happy birthday!! I'll be heading "home" this weekend to see her (for her birthday, and for Easter). :)

XOXO!!

Mobile Monday and March Madness Update

Happy Monday friends! I hope y'all had a great weekend, mine was BUSY but fun!! I could really use a nap right now, I'm so tired! At least it's only a four day work week since we are off for Good Friday. Looking forward to going to my folks and seeing my family!

My friend Jodi was in town this past weekend, we got to meet up for dinner on Thursday night.
Monica, Jodi and me at the Riverwalk Cantina
Jodi's friend Georgina was in town with her. She was hilarious, we had a great time hanging out! I'm looking forward to hanging out again when I visit Boston in June!
Georgina recognized Vincent Izizarry from All My Children when he walked by us. I honestly haven't watch it since college (I had a roommate who watched it every day). BUT I remember him as Dr. David Hayward.
Jodi bought me this awesome bracelet from Alex and Ani. I LOVE it, and it's just in time for baseball season (6 days until Opening Day!)
Speaking of gifts, my sweet blogging friend Judy sent me this Audrey Hepburn book and a bar of her homemade soap. She found the book at a library sale near where she lives. BTW, you HAVE to check out her soap website, Soap 'N Such. I've bought several bars from her before, they are awesome!
Friday my friend Harrie and I went to the Titanic exhibit at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Harrie was in town from Chicago (she just moved there from England). We had a blast. If you live in the Metroplex, this exhibit is in town until the end of April. It's TOTALLY worth checking out!
This lady took our tickets, she was so nice. I told her I loved her hat.
As you entered the exhibit, they gave you a boarding pass. On the back was the name and information of a real passenger from the Titanic. It told you where they had been, why they were on the Titanic, and what class they had been staying in. At the end of the exhibit is a wall with all the names of the passengers, so you could see if your person survived or not. My person died on the Titanic.
I found out that Harrie had never been to a rodeo but was wanting to see one, so we headed over to the Fort Worth Stockyards for the rodeo (they have one every Friday and Saturday night). I think she liked it!
When in Texas, one must buy a cowboy hat! :)
I found these signs in the gift shop. I was tempted to buy them... :)
Also found a Rangers bandana at the gift shop (no, it's not underwear, more than one person has asked that). I didn't know what I was going to use it for, but I had to buy it (hello- it says RANGERS). :)
I found a use for it! Mordecai sporting his new Rangers do-rag! :)
Was able to meet up with Jodi again before she flew back home to Boston.
Lyn, Jodi, me, and Monica testing out the rocking chairs at The Cracker Barrel.
I was joking with Jodi and Harrie that they brought cold weather with them from Boston and Chicago. :) I'm SO READY for the 70 degree weather to come back!
March Madness Update

I enjoyed hearing who y'all would pick in my Men Madness brackets. A lot of people had the same picks as me. If you missed it last week, click here to see the first round bracket. There were a few upsets and I'm sure some controversial picks on my part (I'm expecting some hate mail). :) So anyways, we are on to Round 2. Like last time, feel free to tweet, email, or comment below with your picks!

Steven R. McQueen beating out Chris Evans in the first round surprised even me (and I'm the one controlling the brackets!) :)
I know, Christian Bale AND Bradley Cooper both went early in the tournament. There are a few people who will not be happy with this! :)
It was sad that Brenden Morrow got eliminated from the bracket this weekend, then the Dallas Stars went and traded him. A moment of silence please... :(
I'll be honest, I had to do "eenie, meenie, miney, mo" between Keith Urban and Dierks Bentley, I just couldn't decide!!
I will try to have my Sweet Sixteen up by Thursday.

XOXO!!
