Phone Photo Fun Monday!

I went home last weekend for my great-nephew C's 4th birthday party. Pretty much all of the pictures on my phone this week are of my adventures this past weekend! :)

C had a carnival theme party. He was excited to have a mustache like his friend Matt (who he lovingly calls Matt in the Hat, because Matt always has a cowboy hat on!)
C is big into superheros, especially The Incredible Hulk, so with the help of Photoshop, I made special pictures for his gift bag! :) My nephew D is good pals with C. I love this picture of them!
There was a "photo booth" area with props for the kids (big and small) to use for pictures. I love the one of my folks in the center picture. I couldn't convince my nephew Danny (lower left) to dress up for the booth with me. C loved the Hulk boxing gloves I gave him. He wasted no time trying them on!
As you can tell, my sisters and I are VERY serious ALL the time!
C loved his carnival party. "Pin the nose" on the clown was a big hit. C's little brother E enjoyed the party blowers (I had to remind him not to blow them in people's faces).
E felt that Aunt Rachel needed a nose job. My nephew J liked the fact he could see his picture on my iPhone as we took the picture.
More pictures with E and J.
The next day, E was ready to try out brother's new baseball pitching machine!
C's birthday was actually on Sunday. He wore his birthday crown at breakfast and we enjoyed cupcakes after lunch!
Someone enjoyed the cupcakes a little more than others! :)
I finally got my birthday present from my sister Martha (I hadn't seen her since May). It's a Texas Rangers toaster! I love it! I used it for breakfast this morning. :)

Check out Savanah's and Ashlee's giveaway here! They are giving away a $50 gift card to the Erin Condren store.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

XOXO!

Happy Friday!!

First of all, happy 56th wedding anniversary to my folks! I love you and can't wait to see you this evening!
So, I texted my friend Micah to let her know I was stealing her blog post idea for today (but I wanted to give her credit, so go check out her blog here). She's awesome!

Things I'm obsessing over lately:

Rangers fans will recognize this as David Murphy's walk-up song.

Me and David Murphy
Color- Blue
I've always been a fan of "Rachel" blue (AKA dark blue- see color of David Murphy's jersey above), but I found this light blue quilt comforter last weekend at Kohl's and really liked it. And I really liked that it was 60% off, plus I had a 20% off coupon on top of that. I love sales. :)
For those wondering, yes, that is the famous Mordecai on my bed. :)
 Beverage- Sweet tea.
It should be required that every restaurant/cafe/fast food restaurant in Texas serve sweet tea. Please, and thank you.
I'm going to my folks this weekend. I know I will be having sweet tea at some point!
Yes, another crime show. You know I'm addicted to them!
Fashion- this dress.
Not sure it would look cute on me, but I think it's adorable.

Flowers- Daisies
I think they are beautiful! So heads up to all good looking, single guys who want to send me flowers. ;)
DIY projects- Fall crafts.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

XOXO!

It's OK...

...to once again remind people to check out my friend Brian's fundraising page for Wish Jump 2012 (a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish in New York). You can donate up until August 25th. Thanks in advance!
...that I broke down and had my first Dr Pepper in a week. I've been good about eating "healthier" this week (and working out every day), but I figured I would "cheat" today and have a Dr Pepper. Man, it tasted SO GOOD! If you know me, you know that going that long without soda is a big step for me!

...to be sad that there are less than two months left in the regular baseball season, but to be excited about the start of football season (don't worry, baseball will always be my first love, football will never take its place). :)
I expect the Cowboys to once again break my football heart. I'll never learn.
...to really want to design my own Steve Avery bobblehead (since the Atlanta Braves never made one).

... that I have a list of fall-themed crafts I want to make thanks to spending an unhealthy amount of time a few hours an unspecified amount of time on Pinterest.
Just a few of the cute ideas I found on Pinterest. Oh, and of course if I made the wreath it WOULDN'T say MIZZOU. :)
...to really love bacon.
So true...

We are almost to the weekend my friends!

XOXO!!

What I'm Loving...

Before I get to What I'm Loving Wednesday, I wanted to share this real quick. On August 25th, my friend Brian is participating in Wish Jump 2012, which is a skydiving fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish foundation in Northeast New York. If you would like to donate to this cause, please click here for his fundraising page. For more information on Make-A-Wish, please click here.
I'm loving...
That things are slowly getting back to normal around my office after three weeks of a lot of overtime!

I'm loving...
That I get to see these two little munchkins this weekend!

Aunt Rachel's sweet boys, C and E. I haven't seen them since May!
I'm loving...
Reminiscing about elementary school with some friends on Facebook. I uploaded my kindergarten class picture this morning. I'm friends with several people who were in my class and it was fun to see who they remembered (and who they still knew). Ah, memories!
I'm the adorable one in the front row who thought that turquoise and light purple went well together.
I'm loving...
The new TV in my living room (thanks to a sale at Best Buy and some Reward Points I needed to cash in). Until this past weekend, I had an old "box" TV in my living room. I know to a lot of people a 40 inch flat screen isn't that big, but there isn't a whole lot of space in my apartment for a TV that was much bigger. This will do just fine for watching sports, crime shows, and Audrey Hepburn movies! :)
Imagine that, the first thing I watched on the TV was a Rangers game.
I'm loving...
These ecards. They are greatness!

Fastest way to my heart! :)
I am an awesome dancer...when no one is watching. :)
It's why I have to workout as soon as I get home. I can easily talk myself out of exercising if I'm not careful. :)
True story.
Anytime now...I'm waiting... :)
All the time.

Happy Wednesday y'all!!

XOXO!

Phone Photo Fun Monday

What's on my phone this week...

Pictures with friends at Rangers games...
View from my various seats at the Rangers games...
I went to the lake last weekend with a family that lived next door to me when I was younger. I used to babysit Abby and Emily when I was in high school. Hard to believe they are now in their 20s!
Our lake adventures!
One day I'll be able to go into Half Price Books and not spend any money. So far that hasn't happened...
The forecast last week...
This grasshopper was on the wall in front of my seat at a Rangers game last week. It was huge!
Only in Texas...
Dinner with a portion of my carpool at Taco Cabana (we are missing one person from the group in this picture).
Excited that I got to see Katie while she was in town!
XOXO!

Winner!

I wanted to thank my friend Jodi for nominating me for this blog award last week!! :) I've been following Jodi for a while now (two years maybe?) She's one of my favorites, go check out her page here. :)

The Meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, enduring, and welcome. One of the rules of winning this award was to answer 11 questions from Jodi, so here I go! (I modified the rules just a little because I don't have a lot of time to post today). :)

1. How many cell phones have you had in your lifetime?
Oh wow...I'm on my second iPhone. Before that I think I had 4. The last two before my iPhone were flip phones.
My first cell phone looked like this, except the antenna lit up red whenever my phone rang.
2. How many states have you visited? Ever been out of the country?
Unless you count the time I was a baby and my family went to Mexico, I've never been out of the country. I have visited the following states: Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, New York, Oklahoma (well, I took my picture at the state line, not sure if that counts), New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada,
3. Around what age did you switch from taking baths to taking showers?
I still take baths. I love soaking in a hot bubble bath after a long day at work. :)
4. Japanese, Mexican, or Italian food?
Italian food. I LOVE pasta. Probably a little too much.
5. French toast or pancakes?
Pancakes. With peanut butter and syrup (it's really good!)
6. Your all-time favorite restaurant?
You mean like sit down restaurant? It's so hard to choose just one. I guess either Saltgrass or Macaroni Grill. I'm always in the mood for either steak or Italian food! :)
7. How many times a day do you brush your teeth?
Two times for sure, sometimes three.
8. Do you play an instrument?
I played the clarinet from 6th-9th grade. I also took piano lessons (I wasn't that good).
9. What were the colors and mascot of your high school?
Blue and gray. We were the Knights.
10. What's your ideal outside temperature/weather?
I like anywhere from 70-75. Although the other night at the Rangers game it was 89 degrees and surprisingly that felt nice. There was a light breeze. I will confess in the winter I do like it to be cold for a little while (just because I only like eating chili when it's cold outside). Remember, cold to me is anything under 50 degrees. :)
11. Favorite all-time song to jam out to?
It depends on my mood. :)

We are almost to the weekend!!

XOXO!
