Twitter Tuesday

What you may or may not have missed on my Twitter this past week.

My live tweeting of TV shows (yes, I realize I watch a lot of them). :)

They've been toying with my emotions for years with the whole Tony and Ziva "relationship". Oy vey!
They were so close. So very close.
I did my best...
Love love love Reid. He's probably one of my favorite characters on Criminal Minds. I call him my nerd crush.
I was just being honest...95% of women who watch this show hope the same thing, so don't judge me. :)
I possibly get a little too emotionally involved in my show.
I was watching reruns of earlier seasons of CSI. Made me miss Grissom. And Warrick. Oh Warrick. :(
I can never make up my mind on who I like better on Vampire Diaries, Stefan or Damon. I go back and forth.
Exactly.
My tweets at work (shhhh).

Yes, that was my first thought when I saw them out the window. After that I was like, oh man, I hope everyone is okay.
The Pinterest addiction continues...blasted iPhone app. Makes it easy to pin all day.
Things to keep me busy when it's slow...

Ryan Gosling may or may not appear in some tweets.

Again, Laura isn't that big of a Ryan fan, and even she thought so!!

This will shock you, but I tweet about sports.

Someone tweeted how "old" our pitchers are and a sports writer responded to them with their ages. I had to state they were NOT old. I doubt they are even old enough to shave they are so young.

So glad hockey is back!
I should be so ashamed of this tweet. Yes, I'm a little bitter Josh went to the rival Angels. If you are a Rangers fan, you will understand the meaning behind this. If you aren't, I really don't want to explain it.
Again, not a fan of him or the Patriots. I know, it was mean.
I respond to my wonderful followers.

True story!
I have such sweet followers!

Seriously, I feel so loved! :)
Sometimes I just tweet random stuff.

No worries, she survived!
No lie, I'd buy these if they worked!
Seriously, anytime I hear her sing I think of those blasted ASPCA commercials and all I can see are abused animals. Thank you Sarah McLachlan for ruining your music forever for me!
Who wants to get out of bed at 8am on a Saturday? Especially when I didn't go to sleep until almost 2am.
I'm beginning to think it's just a fake name they give people- they can't all be named Bill.
I can't take my friend anywhere without her getting hit on! :)
This is probably because she has to refer to me as "Your Majesty".
Don't judge. You know you start dancing in the car as well when you hear Luke Bryan sing.

Happy Tuesday!!
:)

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday my lovelies! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a busy, but fun weekend hanging out with my friends. Friday after work I got my hair cut. It has been in DIRE need of that for a while, I just didn't seem to have time.

I can't remember the last time I sat under a dryer at a beauty salon. The gal cutting my hair had another client she had to finish up on, so after cutting my hair, she sat me under this for a while.
The finished product. I didn't cut a lot off, just a few inches. My hair never looks as shiny and straight when I fix it myself. I swear they must use a magic flat iron!
I went by my old apartment to get a few items and to check my mail (since I'm still having my mail delivered there). I had a package at the front office. The envelope had no return address on it so I was curious (and I'll admit, a little nervous at first) to see what was in it. It was an autographed baseball. There was a nice card inside from my Rangers ticket rep (who is the greatest ticket rep in the world. If you are looking to get season tickets with the Rangers, even a mini plan, comment below with your email and I'll hook you up with his info). Anyways, he had heard about my incident and was writing to say he was hoping I was okay after everything that had happened (he read about it on Twitter). He said the Rangers thanked me for being a fan and for supporting the team and they looked forward to seeing me out at the Ballpark this season. Boom. What a great organization! I love my Rangers!!

My new Alexi Ogando autographed baseball.
Friday night I had a Girls Night with my home girls Laura and Khrystal. Our first stop of the evening was Applebee's. Our poor waiter was having a rough night. He got our drink orders wrong, kept forgetting to bring us water, and then had Khrystal's food order wrong. We are assuming (and hoping) it was his first night or something. Maybe he was just having a bad night.

A group picture. :)
After dinner we headed back to Laura's to watch Ryan Gosling movies (it's a tough job, but someone has to do it!) :) We watched a movie called Lars and the Real Girl. I'll be honest, I don't think I had ever heard of it. It was great. And I'm not saying that because Ryan Gosling is in it (Laura's not as big of a Ryan fan as I am, and she liked it!)
When I first read what the movie was about, I was thinking, oh no, this is gonna be bad. It's not what you think it's going to be though. This movie could have taken a raunchy turn, but it (thankfully) didn't. It was actually kind of sweet, in a weird way. I'm too lazy to type out the plot, so here is the IMDB info here. :) Here is the trailer below. I even found a review of it on a Christian movie review website and they liked it. Click here for that article.

And what would Girls Night be without pictures? :)

Our friend Brandon stopped by for a bit, but it was okay, we invited him to crash Girls Night. :) It was a very fun night hanging out with friends!

Yes, I know, I'm obsessed with the picibooth app! :)
We started to watch Murder by Numbers but we only made it halfway through before we realized we were too tired to watch a whole other movie. Ryan looks so young in that movie!! I hadn't seen it in years and I forgot how well he plays a bad guy (I finished watching it on Saturday).

Saturday morning I was too lazy to get out of bed (I was all comfy and woke up much earlier than I wanted to) so I just looked at car deals on my iPhone for about an hour (I know, that's just sad!) :)

This is me not wanting to get out of bed. See what I'm saying about my hair. The magic flat iron at the hair salon even has it looking good first thing in the morning. I need one of those!
Oh, have I mentioned that I HATE car shopping? No really. I hate it. I rank it right up there with getting a root canal and having to wait for hours at the DMV to get a new driver's license. Anyways, I found a few online that I kinda of liked, so I went to take a look at them on Saturday afternoon. I ended up not getting one yet, but I plan to try again next weekend. At least I kinda have a better idea of what I want, and the price range I'm looking at. I will say that CarMax was a pleasant place to look at. They were helpful and not pushy at all. Not once did I feel they were trying to just get me into a car to make a sale.

Laura tried to convince me to get this car. I vetoed that idea.
Saturday night Laura and I met up with her friend Lori at Sherlock's to watch the Stars game and see a band (I forgot the band's name, they mainly covered 80s music, which I liked a lot). :)

A fun night out with friends!
Sunday I went to visit Khrystal's church (it's on my new side of town). I liked it, I'm gonna check out their singles get together tomorrow night. I was able to hang out with my friend beks! (that is the correct spelling of it by the way) yesterday afternoon, I hadn't seen her in a while. :) We watched the movie Invincible and came to the conclusion that Mark Wahlberg is better looking than his brother Donnie. I know, my friends and I have such intellectual conversations, don't we? :)
(l-r) Mark and Donnie Wahlberg
Sunday night is Revenge night. Do you watch that show? It's so good. I've mentioned before how I never know WHO you are supposed to like in the show. It's true. One week you think someone is a "good guy" but then the next week there will be a twist and you are like, "what the what, they are bad?" But I will say this (and I've tweeted it many times), Faux Amanda has to go. She annoys me. Get rid of her. And Ashley. Make them go away. Oh, after finding out that Josh Bowman has a British accent (or is is dialect? I get those two confused), I'm leaning more towards Team Daniel now. ;) Swoon.

Well, the Super Bowl is set: The 49ers and the Ravens. I honestly don't care about either team. I'm kinda leaning towards the Ravens, and that's only because their team was named after the Edgar Allan Poe poem, "The Raven", and I love him. I know, I know, I'm weird! Regardless, I'll be watching the game (I mean, hello, it's the Super Bowl!) If only Jerry Jones would fire himself, the Cowboys might once again go to the Super Bowl. Hey, let a disgruntled Cowboys fan dream.
Hope y'all have a great day!!

XOXO!

TGIF!

After being off work for a month, I'll admit going back to a normal work schedule was challenging, but I honestly didn't mind. I had a good week, things were kinda slow around my office. I know I'll probably look back in a few weeks when things get hectic around the office and wish for another slow week. But I'll enjoy it while it lasts. :)

I'm supposed to go car shopping tomorrow, which is something I don't really like doing. I had my old car for almost 9 years, so it's been a while since I've shopped around for a new vehicle. I have a few ideas on what I want, once I get it, I'll be sure to post pictures! :)

I saw this on Facebook yesterday, it made me laugh (if you are familiar with Facebook and its ever changing privacy notice, you should find it funny).

I made sure I updated my privacy settings right away! :)
So, I was talking to one of my sweet friends from Shutdown Inning last night. If you are a Texas Rangers fan, you MUST check them out (yes, I said MUST)! Click here for their website. If you aren't a Rangers fan (don't worry, I'll forgive you) but like baseball, you should enjoy them as well! They post some good stuff. I'm Twitter friends with many of the good folks there and have met several of them at Rangers games. :) I would like to thank my friend I talked to last night for the kind words he said and for making me smile. You are the best! :)
72 days until Opening Day!
So, thanks to my current roommate, I downloaded this app called PiciBooth (it's free for those wondering). I've become a little obsessed with it (in the past 12 hours). It's pure greatness! :) It takes four pictures of you (I believe there is three seconds between each shot). Then you can add different effects/styles, etc. Yes, I'm easily amused. :)

Why yes I was taking pictures of myself at my desk. Told you it was a bit slow this week. :)

Since I probably won't get a chance to post tomorrow, I want to wish my best friend Mandy a happy (early) birthday! I hate that I couldn't make it to Austin this weekend to spend it with her, but I hope to see her soon!! Love you Mandy! R.E.W.R. (she'll know what that means!) :)

25 years of friendship- she's been putting up with me for a long time! :) If it wasn't for me, she wouldn't know who Steve Avery was or when his birthday is! And I probably wouldn't know as many Bon Jovi songs as I know if I hadn't met her. :) We have many great memories and I'm looking forward to many more in the future!
XOXO!! Happy weekend!

It's OK...

It's OK...

...that for the first time since 2007, I missed Rangers Fan Fest. It was last weekend and I just wasn't able to make it to Arlington for it. I had other things I had to do and didn't have time. :( I hope they will forgive me!
A picture of me and outfielder Craig Gentry from the 2011 Rangers FanFest. He knew that I was kind of a big deal and wanted a picture with me. I hate disappointing my fans. :)
...that I have an app with a countdown to Opening Day. :)
I can't wait!!
...that this is how I've been feeling about exercising the past month. I really need to get off my lazy butt bohiney and start working out again.
I **heart** bacon.
...that since I now have an iPhone 5 (OH yeah, I got an iPhone 5, not sure if I mentioned that), I put Siri to good use and asked this question:
Seems that Siri doesn't know EVERYTHING. Oh well. For the record, I don't think all men are jerks. I was just upset with someone that day, I'm over it now, it's all good. He's off my wrath of Rachel list. :)
...that I was in a meeting and couldn't take this call:
Yeah, I wish he was calling me! :)
...that I'm back to taking pictures of myself and posting them on Instagram. If you are on Instagram, my handle is averyfan. :)
This was the morning of the big snow light dusting of snow.
I posted this saying that I cut my hair. While I was packing, I found a wig from a Halloween costume that I had a few years ago. Ah, fun stuff.
...that I have a heart of stone and refused to share my food with my roommate Sadie.
I know, she's adorable. But puppy dog eyes aren't gonna work on me. I share my food with no one. :)
...that this made me laugh really hard.
If you only knew... ;)
...that I pinned about 1,874 pins of Luke Bryan yesterday on Pinterest. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration. But I did pin a lot. I've fallen off the wagon and am pinning again. I'm out of control! :) Shameless plug, follow me on Pinterest here. :)

We are almost to the weekend, hang in there my friends!

XOXO!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving so much right now....

I'm loving...

Life. With the recent events, I've realized more than ever just how precious life is. No matter what problems or issues I might be going through right now, I'm just happy to be here.

I'm loving...

My friends. I've said before how much they mean to me and I'll say it again. I honestly couldn't ask for a better group of people that allow me to be a part of their life. Thank you for loving and putting up with me!

Me and Mandy, my BFF of 25 years, and her daughter Miss E. I got to see them a few weeks ago when I was driving through Austin.
Me and Laura cheering on Notre Dame (to no avail). :( Big thanks to Laura for letting me stay with her until my new apartment is ready for me to move in next month!
At the Dallas Museum of Art with my buddy Aaron.
Hanging out with Chance at Razzoo's.
I have no clue what is going on here, but this picture makes me laugh. Thanks Chance!
My friend Paula's cat Miss Foxie showing me some love.
I'm loving...

That I have my Bible back. I know to some it wouldn't seem like that big of a deal to replace a Bible, but this one means a lot to me. There are lots of notes, thoughts, and prayers written inside of it.

I'm loving...

These unexpected gifts from friends.

A Psych pillow and earrings from my friend Aaron. We love this show!
Laura picked this up the other day at the store for me. I stared at the cover five minutes before I realized there was also an article about Audrey Hepburn in it! :)
I'm loving...

That a little bit of flirting got me this awesome glass from Razzoo's.

I should feel guilty, but I don't. :)
I'm loving...

That I was able to make a donation to Mission Arlington while I was packing up my old apartment.

The more I donate, the less stuff I have to move.
I'm loving...

How crazy Texans get for a little bit of snow. Of course, I had to take pictures yesterday of it (my Facebook and Twitter timelines were full of snow pictures). It was pretty much all gone by late morning.

My friend's Jeep.
For the record, I was NOT the one driving when I took this picture!
I'm loving...

These quotes.

Before I end the post today, I do want to wish my Bubba a very happy birthday! For those new to my blog, he's the reason I'm so into baseball. You can thank (or blame) him. :) Love you Bubba!
