What I'm Loving Wednesday....

I'm loving...
that I got to spend time with my family recently. My nephew James (he's 23) got married last month, and all of my siblings were there. The six of us are rarely all together, so it was nice to be able to spend some time with all of them.
My mom with her girls
My folks with their whole crew
Aunt Rachel with the handsome groom
Me and my sweet nephew A
Me with my lovely nieces Stephanie and Alice
I got to sit next to the best looking groomsman in the wedding party (my nephew Jake)
My niece Katie was the prettiest bridesmaid!
I'm loving...
that my niece Lydia has decided to start a blog. Please check out her page here! :)

Me and my beautiful niece Lydia!
I'm loving...
that they have made a movie about the making of Mary Poppins. For those who are new to my blog, that is my favorite movie of all time (Dick Van Dyke is my favorite actor). I like Tom Hanks, so I'm hoping I'm not disappointed with it. Actor Kristopher Kyer better not mess up the role of Dick Van Dyke (or he will face my wrath) :)

I'm loving...
these pins from Pinterest.

I'm loving...
that my sister and I both can watch Christmas movies all year round.

I'm loving...
my Duck Dynasty "Uncle Si" tea glass. Thanks to my friend Lyn for getting it for me!

What are you loving today??

XOXO!

Twitter Tuesday

It's been a while, thought I'd let you know what you have missed if you don't follow me on Twitter (you can fix that by clicking here).

Bickell, Pickle..it all sounds the same...
He scored either the tying goal or the winning goal, I can't remember.
My buddy Brian was in town for a week visiting. I had to introduce him to the greatness of Whataburger. He was very impressed. At least I think he was.
Me and Brian after our VIP tour of Cowboys Stadium. He was going through NFL withdrawals. Football is to Brian what baseball is to me. :) Funny side note: we didn't realize until later that we were both wearing the same shirts we wore when we went to a Cowboys game together last year. :)
Yes, THAT Steve Avery. The one and only. For those new to my blog, Steve was my first baseball crush. :) My friend Paul knows him and printed out this sign for Steve to autograph. He was nice enough to pose with it for a picture. Yes, I'm extremely giddy in this picture.

What? He was kinda cute...
Especially when I'm goofing off in a meeting and I'm on Instagram, and all of a sudden, a video starts. Sheesh.
God bless our troops! Past and present!!
One of our local media guys is a big Elvis fan. :)
Sadly, both came back up and we had to stay at work. :(
It was a sad day on Waltons Mountain...
Gotta love SyFy...
Of course I watched it. I never pass up an opportunity to watch a SyFy disaster of a movie. I did watch Chupacabra vs. The Alamo afterall!
And I did live tweet my watching of the movie. Yes, I realized I misspelled unbelievable. Either no one noticed or no one decided to point it out to me! :)
Seriously, Saturday mornings these days are awful!
True story...
This was after the Zimmerman verdict. Too much arguing and name calling going on, I had to distract people!
It was a relaxing day, I had the pool to myself! :)

No offense, but seriously, did we really need minute by minute updates? Just tell us when the baby is born.
Again, true story. I never saw season 1 of this show, so these are all new-to-me episodes. :)

Hope everyone is doing well!! XOXO!!

Never Ever Ever...

I'm trying to get back into my blogging groove so I thought I would try out this new (to me) blog hop. Click on the button for more posts!

Never Ever Ever...

...will I turn down Chick Fil-A. It's true, even if I went there for lunch, if a friend asked me to meet them there for dinner that same day, I would so go.

The Chick Fil A cows were at the Ballpark a few weeks ago. I will never ever ever turn down a chance for a picture with them! :)
...will I take my time watching a TV series on Netflix. Anyone else have a habit of "binge watching" TV shows on Netflix? I'll find a TV show and watch one season in like two days (or less). True story.
Anyone else remember this show from the 90s? I used to love it. I had to watch all the episodes again! Don't judge...
...will I say, "I think I have enough pins on Pinterest." Seriously, it's so addicting!! Speaking of which, check out my boards here.

...will I not carefully explain to the guy cutting my hair how much I want taken off. He mistook "clean up the split ends" to mean, "cut off four inches." I'm starting to like the cut though (I wasn't too happy on Friday). It was a good cut, just shorter than I wanted.

The many faces of Rachel.
...will I complain about it raining in Texas in July. It's so rare. The past few days we've had so much rain. I've loved it!

...will I resist posting a picture of one of my adorable nieces or nephews!

Me and my new great-niece, K!
Hope everyone has a great day!!
XOXO!

Boston Trip Part 4

Okay, FINALLY, the last recap of my Boston trip. It only took me a month to do this. One of these days I'll get back into the groove of blogging.

The last full day of my trip started with a road trip to Newport, Rhode Island to tour some of the Newport Mansions. I was excited to cross another state off my list! :) I have to say, Newport was a beautiful town. I want to go back when I can spend more time there. We only had time to tour two of the mansions, but they were beautiful!

Road trip!

The Breakers Mansion
The Marble House. This was actually built to be a "summer cottage".
Taking pictures along the cliffs. We are risk takers!
But we got good pictures!
Lunch at the Black Pearl
Walking around the docks.
We had to leave Newport by early afternoon in order to get back to Boston in time for the Red Sox/Rangers game. Sadly the game did not go that well for the Rangers, but I still had fun seeing a game at Fenway.
Riding the bus to the game

Nelson Cruz hit a home run during the game and I came so close to catching it. Well, it bounced off the wall behind me, you could see me on the highlight trying to get the ball. It landed three rows in front of me and some Red Sox fan got it. The guy was being told to throw it back (most fans throw back home run balls from the opposing team). He saw me wearing my Rangers shirt and offered to give me the ball. So, despite a terrible loss, I got a Rangers home run ball. :)

I need to get this autographed!
I was giddy. :)
Knowing that I needed something to lift my spirits, the Rangers put Craig Gentry into the game to cheer me up. :)

I see you there Craig.
So, my Boston trip was a blast. I cannot wait to go back. Jodi's sweet aunt gave me a ride to the airport that Wednesday (Jodi had to work). I found an NCIS marathon to watch on the flight back. Seriously, I'm really liking Jet Blue airlines!! :)

I love Gibbs!
I had to laugh when I landed because I had 61 notifications on Facebook. I've never had that many in a span of four hours before. Oh yeah, and check out the status I had when I checked in at the Boston airport. True story, guess I look suspicious! :)

Sorry this recap took so long, I hope to return to my normal blogging soon!!

XOXO!
